“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2010

Our stay could not have been better. The front desk personnel was very helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious, the beds and pillows felt like we were at home. We had an elderly family member with us, and the staff took extra care in making sure he was comfortable and taken care of. We will definitely be back.

Have traveled all over the world in the last 30 years and the experience at the Hotel is at the top of list for poor service. Hotel over booked a reservation, I had for three weeks and when I arrived told me of the issue. Tried to find another location, but they wanted to send me 15 miles across town, when other Marriott properties were within 5 miles. Bottom line, I was left to find a room on my own at 10 pm at night. They said other Hotels would not give them the COMP rates they wanted. Created problems for business meetings planned the next day. I do know if the poor service is because of the lack of competitiion for decent hotels or just bad management as one location. Made me reconsider Marriott as a chain. Will stay at another property on return visits to Tulsa.

I stay in Marriotts all over the US, but was very dissapointed in this one. First off, there was construction going on. When reported, the clerk did not have a viable answer. Manager wasn't any help either. Appeared very inexperienced. The work out facility was state of art, but the equipment (tread, elypt) was very very slippery.
I believe it was due to the humidty from pool and sauna. The fridge in the room heated up. Had to have it replaced several times.
Simple solution to problem but management would only do it at request of guest. Have them take fridge out of cabnet. This will allow fridge to breathe/work. I had no prob after that.
The Laundy is free. But there is only ONE WASHER AND DRYER in the whole damn hotel that has close to 400 rooms!!! Ceiling was peeling in the corner of room. Air conditioning vent not secured. Was told it was designed this way. Bottom line, I would never stay here again!

Now I understand why the most recent reviews of this hotel have been positive. It's because they were all done before the warm weather arrived in Tulsa. Do NOT stay here if you enjoy the comforts of air conditioning. I was given a room on the 10th floor and the second I stepped in it felt like a sauna and the thermastat was already set to 62! I went back to the lobby and requested another room and the attendant told me, "yeah, it gets pretty hot up there. I wouldn't want to stay up there either"! He said the cooler floors were 5, 6 and 7. I got a room on 6 and it was not quite as hot but still uncomfortably humid and not getting cooler despite the thermostat being pre-set to 60. The lobby of the hotel was like an ice box but both rooms I was in were uncomfortably hot - and this was at midnight. If I had arrived any earlier I would have switched hotels for sure. I'm platinum with Marriott so I stay at Marriotts all the time and most experiences are fantastic. This hotel is not up to par with most others. Aside from the A/C issue the hotel seems dated with old carpet, doors, closets. Aside from those things the room decor was similar to other Marriotts. Again though, it's hard to enjoy anything else when you're uncomfortable from the humidity and temperature of your room.

I had stayed here for a week. The services are not upto the mark and I would not recommend for stay. Some of the issues are services - Bad laundary services, limited variety of food.

I was very pleased with this hotel, and the price was so reasonable!! We ended up staying longer then expected due to a freak blizzard so it was very nice to have everything right there in the hotel without having to leave! They have two bars, one sports bar and one wine bar. The restaurant was VERY good, and the service was exceptional! The rooms were very clean and comfortable! We took advantage of the room service for breakfast and were very pleased! The staff was super friendly and helpful! It is located on 71st St, which is where most of the major shopping in Tulsa is. I highly recommend this hotel for a romantic weekend getaway!
