I preface my review with this: my fiance and I recently moved to Tulsa from Portland, OR, the land of delicious cheap locally- owned eateries. So this means that I don't give high marks to crap that tries to pass as quality restaurant fare. That being said, my cousin recommended El Chico's on 71st for cheap delicious eats. The tamales were tiny and overpriced at $10 a plate wih beans and rice. The masa was RED --- WTF? And the service was inefficient, slow and, I assume, due to her complete lack of composure, new to the business. I've received better service at Holiday Inn's Continental Breakfast. The ambiance of the restaurant was corporate and regurgitated from "Mexican" restaurants owned by settlers/white people.
I'll never eat here again. And I want my $30 back.
