“Love the Deli but the Cafe not so much.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Go to the Deli all the time, am addicted to their walnut raisin rye bread. But the Cafe is overly proud of itself in price and serves small portions. The food is excellent but one should be sated after a full course.

“Sorry... Over rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

After being told how great the Stonehourse was we just had to try it. We are two well traveled seniors looking for a good meal and conversation. Made a reservation, arrived early and were seated with 10 minutues, very good. The Cafe was full with tables much too close\ together. Even with short arms I could have asked for the salt from the next table without a problem.

Nosie... WOW! I had a really hard time hearing my wife, just accross the table. At first I thought it might be just me.. but that was not the case. We noticed some people at cupping their ears in order to hear and have a conversation. BUT, the young ones seemed to like it and to be seen.
FOOD: Good but not excellent. I ordered Rack of lamb. The small rack arrived in a BOWL of what looked like bean soup/stew. Good beans but NOT a Rack of Lamb presentation. We will take a pass on this one.

“Sumptuous - wish we lived a lot closer.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

One night business trip to Tulsa - friend recommended this place. Did I mention, "friend for life?"
Open kitchen clamor but nonetheless a quiet enough place to talk business. Menu is not overwhelmingly long, but a good enough variety. But it's the food!
The Stonehorse Blue Salad was crisp, refreshing and unique (and good).
My wife and I both had red meat entrees, probably influenced by our decision to try the special red wine, a 2009 Mica Cabernet Sauvignon that we'd not tried before. Both were good decisions.
And, confession time - we shared a bread pudding - or I should say attempted to share - easily enough for 4!
Although it was closed by the time we'd finished dinner, our server snuck us through the kitchen to tour the adjoining Market - and that's why I wish we lived closer. So many of the house made specialties - from bread to sausage to take it home in a frozen bag and finish it osso bucco.
Tulsa, we'll be seeing you again.

“Fantastic!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

Absolutely fantastic! The food is wonderful, the wine list is great, the atmosphere is sufficiently nice, without being intimidating.

Try the meatloaf. Sounds like a waste of a most excellent cut of beef, grinding it up and turning it into meatloaf.... But it is really a wonderful dish.

Before you leave, go next door to the meat market to get a little something for dinne tomorrow night. Top notch meats and excellent service.
