My family and I stayed at this Best Western Plus over a weekend in November, 2014. There were several positive aspects to our stay that were noteworthy. The building is new, with a modern design and tasteful decor. Our rooms were clean, as were all other parts of the hotel that we visited. The rooms had comfortable beds with quality bed linens, a nice flat-screen TV with a large selection of cable channels, a good sized micro-fridge and microwave, new carpet, and marble countertops. WIFI was free and worked well. Lighting was tasteful and useful. The bathrooms were roomy, with new fixtures and plenty of hot water and nice pressure. The hotel had a shallow indoor heated pool that was deep enough for kids to have fun but not so deep to be worrisome. And the hot tub was a nice thing to discover after the long drive. In the morning, the hotel provided a free hot breakfast that was decent and filling, made up of the things that most of hotel chains provide for their free breakfasts (eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, sausage, breads, cereals, fruit, etc).
The problems I observed were minor. In our rooms, the towels were thin and of a economy quality that got the job done, but weren't especially soft or thick. In addition, there were only two sets in the room, which was fewer than our 3-person families would like, but we didn't complain and just made do. At check in, the room keys that the front desk clerk gave us weren't properly programmed and we had to make an extra trip from our room back to the desk to get them properly set (an annoying but minor inconvenience). The location of the hotel is also set back from the road, which is good for reducing road noise, but watch carefully for the small, poorly signed entrance driveway or you will miss it and have to double back to enter the hotel property. The final issue was a strange one -- the room that contained the indoor pool and hot tub had an acoustical issue so that when the kids where laughing, shouting, and having fun in the pool, their sound of their voice bounced off the walls and ceiling and became so loud, it was impossible to have a conversation. Not a big deal really, unless you're expecting a quiet moment to relax in the hot tub (next to the pool) and the pool is full of happy, noisy people. Just something to keep in mind.
Overall, this was a nice place to stay, and the price was right. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facility was clean and safe. I would stay here again.
