My wife and I needed a day away from home, so we headed to Tulsa for a day trip. I checked tripadvisor for Tulsa restaurants before we left and decided to give Andolini's a try, based on the positive reviews. All I can say is "Wow!"
The Tulsa location is near downtown, on a street with several other local and chain restaurants. The menu is extensive and features many varieties of pizza, sandwiches and salads. We got the fried sliced fresh mozzarella as an appetizer. It came very quickly and was delicious. The cheese melts in your mouth and the marinara on the side is very good, as well.
For our pizza, we chose the Andolini's combination, which has pepperoni, Genoa salami, house-made Italian sausage, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms and black olives. The crust is amazing, crispy on the bottom, but soft and chewy in the middle. The house-made Italian sausage is absolutely outstanding, very flavorful. Altogether, the pizza was very, very good. My wife and I agreed that it is the best pizza we've ever had.
For dessert we had the Italian butter cake, which is similar to gooey butter cake, for those familiar with the St. Louis treat. The cake is topped with fresh whipped cream and chocolate sauce, which help make it an excellent end to a delicious meal.
The bar features an extensive draught and bottle list, as well as a long selection of wines and specialty cocktails.
