“Wouldve been better if exhibits were open”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

Decided to go and check out the zoo. It had been years since I had been there and the opening of the new sea lion exhibit gave good reason to go back. For the most part this zoo is ok. The problem I had was that the desert, arctic .... pretty much all of the specialized inside exhibits were closed for renovation (no notification about this before you paid your entry to the zoo which was still full price).

The new sea lion exhibit was pretty cool, especially the underwater viewing area. They took some time with this and it shows.

The rest was just your typical zoo attractions, nothing really stood out more than the next.

Its ok for a small zoo. Im sure it wouldve been much better with ALL of the attractions open.

“Amazing Zoo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

We have been to many zoos and this is one of the best. Large park with many unique animals. Play area for children is large and fun, kids didn't want to leave. Staff was friendly and informative.

“Great for kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

The Zoo is very large, but does not have large herds or collections of animals...maybe only two of each in some cases. The play area for kids is very nice. You can trot the kids around the zoo to see the animals and then let them play on the jungle gyms and other "toys" at the playground. The cafeterias have a good selection of foods for adults and kids and are reasonably priced.
