In the old days (when i was a kid), the Chalkboard was that dark, classic place in the basement of the Ambassador Hotel that was expensive and had the most amazing beef wellington.
For years the hotel and the restaurant were closed. Since the reopening, the Chalkboard has rediscovered itself as modern, elegant cooking. It's become a new/old favorite in Tulsa. It has a nostalgic feel as it is still in the basement of the historic Ambassador Hotel. Even though it is no longer the old world steak house, it has retained it's high quality and elegance. Definitely worth a visit.
