“Great weekend getaway! Fabulous Location!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2011

We stayed here while attending a friends birthday party. Everyone from the bell staff to the front desk, to the server in the restaurant were welcoming and committed to providing the best service possible. The hotel is located within a safe walking distance to both the OKC Memorial and Bricktown (although there is a free trolley that stops out front). My boyfriend especially liked the complimentary cranberry and white chocolate chip cookies, that are placed out in the lobby in the afternoon. The bed was heavenly and made for a restful sleep. We live in Dallas and we were surprised that we hadn't thought about OKC as a nice weekend getaway. With so much to do in Bricktown coupled with the memorial, and location to OU...we will be back "sooner" rather than later :0)

Stayed here two nights for a family get together. Location is close to bricktown, a local shopping and entertainment district. Hotel is older, looks it in many places. Carpeting in hallways needed cleaning and to be stretched. Room was clean, but signs of wear easy to find. Comfortable chairs in room with king sized bed; table between chairs had peeling wood on top from water damage. Flat Screen tv's; reception on about half the channels was marginal. Did not notice much noise in property. Small bathroom, parking garage behind property, cost $10/day for parking on top of room rate. Water in rooms has tags, in fine print notes water costs $2/bottle - great eye test, three of four of us didn't see that. Guess I have young eyes! We left room at 9am, by 4pm maids had not come by to clean.

The hotel is in a good location, but I gather the company hasn't really shown much love to this location. The lobby looks to have been redone lately, but the rooms are pretty shaggy. I'd recommend looking at some of the other close by properties - if you like older hotels, there is the Skiven, which really looks impressive from the outside. Brickyard itself has several chain hotels in or near, including a Hampton, Residence Inn, and Courtyard.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the southeast corner, can see the Brickyard shopping district from here.

Service was friendly, but incompetent. Valet brought wrong car up, twice. Room service took over an hour and got the order wrong, then brought up duplicates of our order. Housekeeping totally skipped Sunday night. Room key had to be constantly reswiped at the front desk, even though I kept it in an envelope.

Hotel lobby, lounge, and restaurant are nice, but the rooms are rundown, the carpet in the halls is rippled (my sister tripped).

I won't stay here again.

Great beds, pillows, linens. Food was tasty. Late night bar staff was very attentive. Clean, large rooms with nice ammenities. A/C was cranked up and working fine with 106 degree heat outside.

I was in OKC for work and picked the Sheraton for it's convenience to the places I needed to get to. I did not have a car, so I needed to be able to walk to my meetings and to other places, like Bricktown. The hotel satisfied both my needs in that regard. Bricktown is a five minute walk and my meetings were no more than ten minutes by foot.

The hotel lobby is nice and the staff were helpful. The hallways leading to the rooms were a bit dingy and the carpet worn. The room itself looked nice, but the bed was really worn down and almost felt like sitting on plywood. The center opart of the bed was fine, but those edges were rough.

I did breakfast one morning and it was fine. It took real long time to get a simple egg dish I ordered off the menu, but that is my fault, I should have just gone to the buffet. The staff was friendly and apologized for the wait.

Overall the hotel did it's job. I probably owill not stay there again as the are other choices in the area and I would like to see if I can do better.

This was an ok stay. It was clean but the carpet and rooms were a bit rundown and needed remodeled. Rooms across the street at Renassaince much nicer for same price. The breakfast buffet was good but way over priced!
