“Must improved”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

Although I rated this course as average, it is much improved from a few years ago. Like many lower-end courses in Oklahoma, they had trouble with the grass. The last couple of times I have played, I was impressed with the improved playing conditions.

“Silverhorn Golf Club is good and getting better.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

Silverhorn is a golf course that I swore off of 5 or 6 years ago for many problems with fairways, greens and maintainance. Over the past 2 years (2010 -2012) it has gotten better. I played it today for the 3rd time in 2012 and it is in the best shape that I have seen. Fairways are good, greens are ok as they sanded a few weeks ago and are still a bit slow. General course upkeep is getting lots better. Problem areas: 1. The drive up to the clubhouse is bad and the road is in poor condition. 2. The driving range is closed lots of times when it rains AND they are often out of range cards. The snack bar is marginal and the prices are too high. WARNING: Hole 13 is one of the hardest holes in OKC. I now like Silverhorn compared to play 3 or 4 years ago. They could do more but the prices are about 4 or 5 dollars cheaper than other public courses in the area. This is generally target golf and LOTS of places to lose your ball if you are not straight.
