“Curious little place with good sandwiches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

While it is not impossible to find The Mule, it does not jump out at you. Tucked into the front corner of an old converted motel, it offers a lively venue for some interesting sandwiches. I had a giant veggie sandwich with avocado, beets, jalapeno, aoeli, cashew cheese all on a grilled thick bread. A bit messy but delicious. My wife had their appetizer tomato soup and mini grilled cheese. This was good sized and very tasty. Service was warm and friendly. This is sort of like being in Portlandia.....hipster in the Arts district of OKC

“excellent sandwiches for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

I have visited the Mule twice, both times for lunch. Their salads are quite tasty and the sandwiches are off the charts. Excellent change up from your regular lunch outings. It's kind a a "hipster" joint with an excellent atmosphere and great selection of brews. During the warmer months it's a nice place to sit on the patio and enjoy the surroundings. My wife was thoroughly impressed, as was my business lunch host. I don't believe you can go wrong at this tasty joint.

“Grilled cheese to die for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

Small intimate pub/restaurant with good selection of craft beers. The grilled cheese sandwich was excellent. I was feeling blue(added blue cheese to it) and added bacon. Had a delicious craft beer that a local brewer does only when the arts walk occurs and only for The mule. A little loud in the small space but worth the visit

“Consistenly Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

The Mule has great drinks and great food. I have never had one bad thing here. My husband loves the Macaroni Pony sandwich and I love the Rosy Palmer drink. They also have deep-fried cheese that you can usually only get at the State Fair.

“Twists on Comfort Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Getting a table at The Mule during Live on the Plaza is difficult, but not impossible. We had almost an hour wait for a table, but the staff was very friendly and they worked very hard to make sure everyone was taken care of, in my opinion. The food and beer selection is worth it! We had the Okie Poutine, which was rich and cheesy. Then for our entree, I had the Macaroni Pony and my husband had the Big A$$ Grilled Cheese. The sandwiches were HUGE and very rich. We will definitely be back.
