Let me first preface this review by saying that I'm not a beer drinker. I do watch sports, thanks in part to my husband, but I feel like you go to a gastropub partly to experience craft beers, which we didn't do, but that's okay. It's located in Classen Curve, which is a newer kind of trendy shopping center with several boutique shops and restaurants. Republic is really nice. There are a TON of TVs, and I'm sure that it would be a really nice place to go and watch a Thunder game. I'm not a fan of bars (i.e. dark and smoky, less than seedy crowds, no thanks) and this place is NOT that. It's quite upscale, but not so much that it would make you feel alienated. My last visit was with a group. We had quite a few with us, and we were seated pretty quickly. The food ordered ranged from fish and chips, to grilled salmon, to burgers. The wine selection was nice, and I had a Pinot Noir that was very good and reasonably priced. I had the Jalapeno Glazed Salmon and it was cooked perfectly. I chose vegetables for the side and they were very good! I've been to Republic before for drinks and appetizers, and they are equally delicious. If you're looking for a cool sports bar to watch the game, but want to skip out on the smoking and skeevy crowds, look no further than Republic!
