“Ok for the reduced price but wouldnt have paid more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

We went to stay at the Biltmore Hotel in February 2012. I chose this hotel because of the pool and hot tub, since we were there for three nights and my children would go stir crazy in the middle of winter. Walked into the Biltmore, and there was a nice front desk receptionist, but not warm by any means. She checked us in, and generally showed us where to go, and that was that. The building is very dark and the carpets do have a musty smell to them, but overall it looked clean. The room we got was very clean and set up well, and they allowed us to have a roll away and fridge at no extra charge. The wifi was not great reception, and slow. The first night we slept great and no problems, but the next morning you could hear housekeeping speaking spanish in the next room not even bothering to try to stay quiet, so there goes sleeping in after a fourteen hour drive. Asked housekeeping where pool was located and no one spoke one word of English. Called front desk and they gave us directions to the pool since it is in another building. When we arrived at the pool, it was mucky and the signs were hung for no swimming. Why the front desk did not notify us of it being down is beyond me. So came back to the room to call and ask why it was down and they said the pump had gone out the night before. Could have been told then too. I asked when it would be fixed and they said by later that day. So we checked back later and it was still broken. So decided next day we would go swimming instead. Then the next day, they had a conference of police which apparently they do every year, and so because the pool is in the conference area we could not use it. All of the parking was taken up by this conference, and so we had to park forever away to get to our room. Also, the whirlpool was closed as well. The next thing was someone had set an alarm to go off at 5:30am in the next room, so I woke up to hearing this slight beeping noise through the wall. After about an hour of this, I called the front desk, and they said they didn't know if someone was in the room or not. How could they not know? I run a motel and I know who is where at all times. So another half an hour later, no apology and no sleep again, i finally opened the door to security trying to get in to shut it off. When we left I was exausted, with nothing for my children to do but a few channels of tv, and no swimming pool or hot tub, and being woken up by housekeeping and all the other disturbances. The room was a great room, but the hotel definately needs to intervene in housekeeping, and maintenance protocol! Hope this helps anyone looking here to stay, just to let you know, it is convienant to the highway. Hope this helps. I am going to back to okc in july, I wont be staying there.

Room Tip: Definately ask for the renovated rooms, it seems to be clean and tidy.

My associates and I were horrified at the filth and mildewed ceiling tiles and animal smells in this hotel. Cigarette smoke smell everywhere upon entering this nightmare of a place. The board of health should close it down. We had to check out immediately, and the driver of a neighboring hotel informed us at rooms here are rented by the hour if you get what I mean...
Even the sign out front was misleading...29.95 special for rooms being renovated on the second floor...well, rooms in the 300 series are on the second (top) floor ... A health hazard to even walk through.

This place is the very definition of a rat trap. The floors aren't vaccumed, the place smells awful, and the bathroom wall plaster is peeling. And, this was the 'upgraded' room that they gave us after the first room was literally a mattress with no sheets and plaster on the floor and littered with empty water bottles. The only nice thing to say about this hotel is the staff because try hard to work with what they have.

The hotel was nice. Was decorated very nice. The size of our king room was big! It was located right near shopping and lots of great restaurants. Easy off and on to the highway. The front desk staff, Angel and Betty were very helpful. They helped us get a full refund on our room. We checked in right at 3 p.m. but the room wasn't completely ready. The bed still had to be made. They forgot the comforter and we had to go to the front desk later that evening to get one. We went swimming and when we came back we called to request towels. It took a very long time to get them. We called the front desk to get some and they said they would send some right away. That didn't happen. My husband saw a cleaning lady in the hall a little while later and asked her for towels and she told him we had to wait for them to finish drying. We eventually got some. Who ever ran the house keeping did not do a very good job. They began cleaning the carpets at about 8 a.m. We had a do not disturb sign on our door but that didn't matter. We called the front desk and requested that the carpet cleaning be stopped but that didn't happen. We booked this room to celebrate our 4th anniversary. Grandma kept our 2 kids who are 2 and 3. We never get to sleep in at home and were very upset to be awakened at 8 a.m. by carpet cleaning.

My husband & I made reservations through a "package deal" over the internet with "free gifts" attached. The evening desk clerk even verified that the gifts would be received upon check-in. When arriving, the day front desk clerk acted as though nothing was extra. After a small
conversation of poor advertisement of their hotel online, she reluctantly agreed to give up the coupon book for the mall and the two breakfast buffets. However she advised that the "gift bag with 2 waters and 2 chocolate bars" was unavailable,we had no choice but to accept what was offered. The room was right next to the ice machine that was utilized all night and morning long with the sound of small feet running up and down the hallways. No idea where security was!! The bed was satisfactory, since it was only for one night, but the furniture was mix-matched and the shower tiles were peeling. The comment cards were filled out and turned in with no results. Upon returning home, checked e-mail with a "thank you" for visiting their hotel and a link to add comments. When attempting to open the link, it would not open. Needless to say, another stay in the future is unlikely at the Biltmore Hotel in OKC,OK.

Room Tip: If one decides to stay here, make sure you are not near the ice machine or the exit door (due to the...

I recently visited at this hotel for a nice Mother's day in your restaurant for a get together with a few of my family members. It was not enjoyable at all because of one of your staff, I believe her name is Nannette. She was extremely rude and did nothing but holler and yell to her own staff members about not doing anything right. She was so loud and it was so very uncomfortabe that we didn't even get to order. We were all so disgusted with the whole situation that we just got up and left. It would sure have been extremely more pleasant there if she wasn't there because her mouth was curtainly much bigger than her!!!!!!!!!!!

The photos on line were very misleading. Our room was old, smelled of mildew, the furniture was badly scratched & scarred & the bathtub was cracked & peeling. The mattress was very hard & uncomfortable & housekeeping is very loud in the hallway in the morning making it very hard to sleep. The Brandywine room has decent food but very overpriced. We would never stay there again.
