We were going to go to another Italian restaurant, but it was closed for the day. So we were told about this place. It appeared to be a "hole in the wall" restaurant in a small strip center and was a little concerned. But we shouldn't have been.
As soon as we sat down the waitress came over and introduced herselt and then asked us what our names were. Never had that happen in all the restaurant's I've eaten in.
When we orderd she knew us by name and made suggestions. The salad was crispt and the house balamic and oil was delicious as was the homemade bread.
There were 6 in our party and each ordered something different. Every item was created and cooked as we waited. So it took a little while and we were not served all at once. But each plate was hot and delicious. I had the chicken alfredo. The sauce was great and the pasta was cooked to perfection. All the servings were so large that everyone ended up taking home a portion of their meal. We were from out of state, but the food was so good, we still decided to bring home the leftovers. If we had know that the servings were so large, we would have split a meal. (I think each meal was around $11 -12).
The service was great, the owner came to our table and ask if everyone's meal was ok and apologized for not being able to serve us all at once, but explained that everthing was cooked as ordered.
The place is small but we were told that they were going to move to a new location down the street in December. So call and check out their new location before you go to the NE23rd site.
The new location is supposed to be much larger.
