The hotel was indeed new but seemed odd that they would do the hallways in dark, dingy colors. It made the hotel seem old. We were in room 201 which was nice and quiet . The air conditioning ran 24/7 and it was not hot there by any means so not sure if it would cool a room if it were 100+ degrees outside. The room also had a weird smell. It was only noticeable when you first walk in- as apparently we got used to it after being in the room for a few minutes. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding very nice. Fitted sheets are always a plus in my eyes!! Soft down comforter was great!
The TV is my main complaint at this hotel. It is the SMALLEST TV I have ever seen and it takes for ever to scroll through the channels. No guide so you have no choice. When you have a Army Basic Training graduate who has not watched TV for 10 weeks this does not cut the mustard. The volume would only go to 25 and for many of the channels that was not loud enough to even hear. I have NEVER had such a cheap odd SMALL TV in any hotel EVER! Hilton made a huge mistake here cinching out on the TV's .
I would personally advise anyone coming to OK for graduation to stay at the Homewood Suites instead where you can have a sitting area to chat with your soldier and the luxury of a larger TV ( and the Homewood Suites we have stayed at usually have DVD players which is a plus )
There is not much to do in Lawton with your graduate so figure you could spend quite a bit of time in you hotel room!
