Having just returned from my third or fourth stay at this Red Lion Hotel on Cache Road in Lawton, Oklahoma, I felt compelled to remark on how wonderfully cordial and helpful the staff always is, and how clean and neat the rooms are as well as the restaurant, courtyard, and parking lot. As I made reservations for a "handicap" room for this visit on 2/17/05, I was asked if there was anything they could do to help me enjoy my stay better. Just asking that question is something no other hotel, no other city, has ever asked me. What's even better is that the staff responded to my comments by going beyond what I asked by providing two options for my need instead of one. And when I commented, on checking out, how the room might still be improved, they responded within minutes of actually assigning someone to the task as I laid it out. Again, no hotel has ever done that for me, and being newly disabled, that made a major difference in my feelings about staying there. The restaurant staff has always been immediately responsive to my arriving there, without there being any outward clue as to my disability since I cover it well and have recovered well. And clean and neat rooms, and an ample and well lit parking lot makes a very pleasant stay. Again, major kudos to the staff up front and in the restaurant, and I can promise you that Red Lion is guaranteed my business anytime I return to visit my son at Ft. Sill Army base.
