We recently stayed 5 nights at the Ramada in Elk City. We didn't encounter any problems. The room was clean, and the atmosphere quiet.

Housekeeping came each day and did an excellent job of cleaning up our room.. I always pull down the sheets and check out the mattress, regardless the hotel chain we are staying in.The AC worked and we didn't experience any plumbing problems. We didnt check out the pool area, because we had no plans to swim.
And NO the building does not look brand new.

The employees were very nice and helpful.

Yes, we would book and stay at the Ramada Elk City again.

We stayed in Elk City Ramada on Aug. 6, 2007...the first room we had had no bathroom light and the ac wouldn't work....it was also run down and worn out and unclean looking, even though the Ramada book stated it had been remodeled within the year. The second room we had (I asked to be moved because of the nonworking AC...temps were very high and humid that day) had ac that worked, but only after a couple hours...but the toilet in this room didn't flush or work and kept running all night! I couldn't bring myself to ask for another room, that i was sure would be no better, so we stayed the night...When we awoke to check out the breakfast, it was horrible...the coffee was weak and they had a bunch of day old looking sweet rolls thrown out for breakfast. I paid 93 dollars..a ten dollar fee included because I had a pet...(no pet could hurt those rooms..)..and I feel it was a huge rip-off..If Amarillo would have been closer, and I hadn't have driven all day, I would have left....I will surely plan my next trip to be certain I miss Elk City and their "remodeled" Ramada.....I suggest you do the same. We only had to stay overnight because of an early-morning appointment in Elk City. We had stayed in the Best Western previously, but decided to try somewhere else for a change. We booked the Ramada Inn specifically because the price was good and there was an indoor hottub. When we got there not only was the hottub out-of-order, it was non-existent! Since we booked through Ramada's website in advance, we could not cancel without being charged for the night. If we had known there was no hottub, we would have paid the extra money and gone to the Holiday Inn (Holidome) across the road. Ramada has not responded to our complaints as of this date.

We stopped here after moving our son to California. We were travelling to Michigan and had our 2 year old grandson with us. They advertised an indoor pool which was out of order. They advertised free breakfast, but only one meager breakfast was free. They even charged me extra to have it be a take-out! I've never heard of such a thing. We didn't have towels or wash clothes in the room. The room smelled so bad we had to leave the door open as long as possible. Even the next night, my daughter still had that odor lingering in her pjs. We tried to find another hotel, but they were all booked up. Never again will I stay at a Ramada, let alone this one. Buyer beware.
