Our family of 4 spent 3 nights there during an 8 day house hunting trip. Three nights was all they had available, so we had resevations across the street at the Hampton Inn for the remainder of our stay. (Separate review for that).
This is an okay hotel. It is very new, but nothing special. The rooms were small. Our teen boys travel with a twin sized air-mattress because they refuse to sleep in the same bed. There was barely room to put it down and each morning we would have to stand it up in a corner so we could walk around the room. The beds were not very comfortable, and we never seemed to sleep well in them. I noticed a sign on the front desk that said something about their new bedding system "coming soon". Unfortunately it wasn't soon enough. The rooms are only stocked with 3 sets of towels, so every day we would have to go to the front desk and request another set. The room did have a small sink area outside the bathroom, which was nice, but it was so you couldn' t really set anything on the side without it falling in the sink. The room had no microwave or fridge. Our bathroom door only opened about halfway before it stuck on the floor. We had to skinny around it everytime we needed in our out of the bathroom. Someone of any size couldn't get in.
When we checked out, they told us they could accomidate us for the other nights we needed. I told them it was too late because we already had paid reservations across the street, and besides we couldn't take the bathroom door any longer. The desk clerk said they had been having trouble with that room. This really sent me over the edge because the night we checked in, the hotel was almost empty, and they could have put us in any room, but instead we got the one with the broken bathroom door.
We never ate the breakfast, although we did stop in and check it out the first morning. There is no hot food, only cereal and breads. Nothing very appealing. We opted to drive down the street to McDonalds. Not good, but better than cold cereal. They did have a nice round table set up in the lobby every afternoon with coffee, lemonade, cookies and pretzels, but everytime we walked by it, about all they ever had left was coffee, pretzels and some cookie crumbs.
Next time I will just pay a little bit more and stay across the street at the Hampton Inn.
