While we were riding our road bikes down the Centennial Trail from Summerside, the boy at the Wellington tourist information centre suggested we keep going down the trail to Richmond where there is a dairy bar. When you get off the trail in Richmond, there is an Esso service station at Hwy 2. We crossed the highway and rode for another 2 minutes to get to the Richmond Dairy Bar.
I had a kiddie chocolate mint fudge cone. The hard ice cream is made by ADL, the Island dairy company. My friend had a chocolate and vanilla soft serve. Both of us liked our ice cream.
This is a busy dairy bar with cars entering and leaving all the time (it was Saturday afternoon). There are many different flavours on the menu. You can get other food for take out, and there are picnic tables nearby.
