The long-ish, rectangular room is simply and tastefully appointed: one long wall is a deep green, the other exposed brick. At the back of the space is the beautiful wood bar and a peek-through into the open kitchen. On a very busy Saturday night, Jayne and Alan Churchmark, with the support of three servers, ran the room with warm, relaxed, professional efficiency. Despite the crowd, service was impeccable and timely. The pacing of the meal was perfect, and the food was outstanding. Seasonal menu is creative without being "cutesy," and ingredients are very fresh and mostly local. Highly recommend the panko-crusted stuffed egg on a generous slice of maple-smoked bacon and the succulent pork belly appetizers (if you're going to eat pork belly, South Market Bistro is the place to do it!!). A mahi-mahi special was also delicious, as was the red trout. Portions are generous without being over-the-top. Amazing beer selection, ditto wine list. Cocktails are creative and serious. Can't wait to go back!!

Thank you for taking the time to write your review! We are so glad you enjoyed the appetizers and seafood entrees. Chef Erik is a magician with seafood, and we agree, the pork belly is something special! Thanks again for dining with us!
