“WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

All I can say is that the unique blend of modern European finishes and retained original architecture set the stage for a wonderful evening. We were greeted by a very attentive desk attendant who showed us to our room, gathering a bucket of ice along the say. She demonstrated all of the features of the room and made sure we were comfortable. In the morning our customized breakfast was delivered to our room at the time of our choosing along with the morning paper, again of our choosing. Not room service, but better! Downtown Wooster was also a pleasant surprise. My favorite hotel stay in memory.

Room Tip: Our room was a queen suite. Large and well appointed. The bathroom with heated tile floors and the...

I just returned from a 2 night stay at the St Paul Hotel in Wooster. Who knew that a modern boutique hotel would be available so close to Amish country. The rooms were spacious, finely appointed and comfortable. There were 3 tv's in my room including one in the bathroom mirror so you could watch the news as you were getting ready in the morning. There was a large glass shower with three different shower heads. Each room in the hotel is different and there is a comfortable sitting area in the lobby. The staff are very professional and gracious and even give each guest a tour of their room. Your stay includes a continental breakfast of your choice which is delivered right to your room in the morning at the time you specify. The hotel is steps away from a great wine bar, good restaurants and a Hungarian bakery to die for.

My wife and I visited the St. Paul Hotel with some friends for a weekend away in Wooster. Our friends had the suite with the deck and hot tub, we had one of the queen rooms. We had a great time and were blown away by the attention to detail at the hotel. Our room was gorgeous with great colors and beautiful wood furniture. The bathroom was other-wordly with heated tile floors, a neat modern sink and a well done shower. I could have slept in the shower. The rain forest shower head and the additional hose head were great and the water pressure was solid. Oh, the provided shampoos, soaps are Tommy Bahama brand and were great!

Moving back to the room, the television was more than adequate (not that we spent a lot of time watching it) and the bed was very comfortable. The headboard was super cool and the nighstands had adjustable reading lights that also had dimmer switches (nice for when your spouse is out and you still want to read).

The continental breakfast isn't your run-of-the-mill lousy continental breakfast. I ordered tea, the fruit danish and juice. The danish was excellent and obviously homemade, not pulled out of a wrapper and plopped on a plate.

Our friend's suite was gorgeous and the deck with the hot tub was spacious with ample furniture and a great tub. The high walls provided an utmost level of privacy and we had a great time relaxing in the tub and sitting out on the deck just chatting.

My wife and I will most certainly be back and will recommend this to anyone looking to get away and get pampered at a great price!

The St. Paul Hotel offers Wooster visitors a unique experience that's worth the premium price. This freshly restored hotel has beautiful rooms with wonderful amenities. The staff is cheerfully attentive and very helpful. Continental breakfast orders delivered to your room are included in the price. The downtown location is just steps away from the best restaurants and shops in Wooster. The town of Wooster has a lot going for it these days and the St. Paul Hotel is at the top of the list.

Would stay here any and every time! The hotel is a new, well designed and very tasteful boutique hotel that would be well received anywhere. The room space usage is efficient, the bathrooms very nice and the location in downtown can't be beat!

When I heard the St. Paul was open in Wooster, I decided to try it instead of a larger chain. I'm very glad I did! The rooms are tastefully decorated (I stayed in the smallest room - a business queen-size). Priced at $125, I thought this was more than reasonable for the quality of the stay. If you are budget-conscious like me, it gives you a good taste of luxury at a decent price.

Upon my arrival, I was given a tour of the building, including some of the unoccupied rooms. Most of the woodwork is locally-done and the doors in some of the larger rooms were re-used from Freedlander's, a now-defunct local department store.

The room was quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms have heated tiles and rainwater showers. My only objection is that there were no built-in shelves in the shower; my room had shelves that were suctioned to the glass. I managed to knock them down, whoops!

Overall, the St. Paul Hotel is a great place to stay and a nice addition to downtown Wooster.

I was so pleased to find a new, first rate luxury boutique hotel in a relatively small town. The rooms are very modern, with rain showers, robes, slippers, three flat screen TVs. Just superb throuout. my only criticisms are that my street facing room was somewhat noisy; there was no shelf in the shower for soap and shampoo; and (to be totally picky) I could not have opened the cellophane holding the slippers without scissors. Lots of outstanding restaurants and a very nice wine bar right in the same block.

Room Tip: Get a room away from Market Street if possible. queen suite is totally worth the extra price.
