“a gem place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

We very much enjoyed our stay at this Inn which we were pleased to find in this little town! We stayed in the Lincoln room which we liked very much; I think it has a bigger TV but a smaller bed than some of the rooms (the bed was super comfy!). The bathroom was less than 10 steps down the hall and very nice and cozy. The best part of our stay was the gourmet homemade breakfast every morning (and the tea and coffee right outside our door). It exceeded our expectations and left us so full that we did not need lunch. Would very much recommend this place to stay.

Room Tip: we stayed in the Lincoln which I described a bit above...would recommend.

My husband and I stayed here on a little getaway trip we had planned to the Amish country. Although our room and bathroom was small (which I already knew because of the website that showed pictures), it was very clean and decorated very nicely. It was walking distance to several stores and to restaurants. My hubby was a little bummed about the small tv, but that didn't bother me at all. The breakfast the next morning was AMAZING! Very nice B&B and I would highly recommend it.

When another area small inn inadvertently overbooked, we were thrilled to learn there was a late cancellation at Market Street, our original trip advisor choice. And it was well worth it! We had a great experience in this clean, comfortable and friendly inn. Breakfast starts right at 9 unless you make other arrangements, but ooooh, it was worth it. A new recipe for cornmeal pancakes with bacon baked inside tasted as if it was an old family recipe! Thanks...will return often!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Lydian room. We were late checking in, but Alan was hanging around to greet us - even filled the first floor with the smell of homemade soup. It was our first experience staying at a B&B. It was better than we hoped. The room was clean and comfortable. The house is incredible - it wouldn't be a bad thing to get stranded there with a good book or reading the paper in one if the reading rooms or front deck. The best part: Alan and Jayne. They are great hosts who treat everyone like family.

We had a great stay at the Market Street Inn. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was fantastic. And it's in a good, quiet spot, but near the center of town. We'd stay here again in a second if we're in the area.

We only stated here one night, and regretfully had to leave before breakfast (I'll never get over having to miss ginger pancakes!). The house is utterly stunning, huge, well appointed, and charmingly vintage. The guest room we stayed in (The Lincoln) felt like it was straight out of Downton Abbey. The hosts were more than accommodating, and we gladly took them up on their recommendation to dine at their restaurant, the South Market Bistro, where the food was out of this world (pumpkin lasagne, need I say more!?) I am very much looking forward to staying here again on my next visit to Wooster, it was absolutely beautiful!

We were only able to stay at Market Street Inn one night much to our regret. (Just passing through Wooster on the way to Vermont.) But that stay was excellent. The Inn was beautiful, the bed comfy and the food out of this world. I only wish all Inns were are great as Market Street!
