If you are attending performances of the Ohio Light Opera in nearby Wooster , visiting Ohio's "Amish Country," or simply using historic U.S. 30 to cross the state, you will not regret a side trip to Pine Tree Barn. The unlikely combination of furniture store, high end gift shop, and dining room overlooks a pastoral valley featuring a large pond.....and sometimes strutting roosters. Go for brunch at 11 and be sure to reserve a heated piece of the scrumptious black raspberry/cream cheese pie. You'll barely have room for it after noshing ecstatically on PTB's delicious salads, wraps, pizza and other brunchables. The spinach/cashew salad with hot bacon dressing is alone worth the trip, and the "Black and Blue" salad featuring strips of perfectly grilled sirloin is almost as scintillating. Service is outstanding.
