“Nothing fancy, but fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

We spent part of a weekend at the hotel here and took two meals in the restaurant/pub. My husband and I had an early supper of fish 'n chips, along with beer, before heading out to a concert down the street. The fish was pretty good, but was most likely frozen before being prepared in the kitchen. Being used to creamy coleslaw, we weren't enamoured with the variety served here and my husband was a little disappointed that even though they had Heinz Malt Vinegar they didn't offer Heinz Ketchup. Wait staff were friendly and busy with Saturday evening diners, mostly locals. The beer selection is better than average and our waiter was very knowledgeable about what was on tap and in bottles.

Sunday morning breakfast was decent. If you stay overnight in the hotel, breakfast (from the full menu) is included. My husband had biscuits and sausage gravy and I had a Denver omelette. Fruit, juice and coffee rounded out the meal and it was all fresh and tasty. Service was a little on the slow side but we weren't in any hurry.

“Great place for Mother's day brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

This is about the only place with some unique personality. This is an older
hotel with lots of history. We have also spent the night there. We met our son from
columbus, Ohio there as it was a halfway point between mt. orab, ohio and columbus.
I had french toast with sausage links and it was superb! Highly recommend it for
mother's day, make sure to reserve ahead !

“GREAT FOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF, TOPS IN MY BOOK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

Eat there once and the next time you're in, they'll probably remember your favorite drink and maybe even how you like your burger. Chef Jen Purkey is committed to making great food with as many local ingredients as possible.
