“Terrific Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

I am slightly shocked about several of the reviews I read in Trip Advisor about Vittorio's. I travel throughout the country and unfortunately eat the majority of my meals in restaurants. From the outside, Vitttorio's is unassuming and located within a small strip center that also houses a Dr's Office, Subway and a Red Wing Shoe store. Quite frankly, the only reason I even stepped inside is because I was seeking some information on the property across the street. Needless to say, I am glad I entered the door of this terrific family owned and run restaurant. In fact, I liked it so much I went back again for lunch two days later! The lunch specials were priced below $10 and portions so large they might be considered illegal in some jurisdictions. Leave any illussions of a diet outside the door. Not only are the portions huge, the food quality and sauces were excellent. I found the service to be top notch and I highly recommend a trip to this well run establishment. Thumbs up to Lisa, Bob, Mrs. T and Sarah for two very enjoyable meals!

“Worst Italian Food Ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

This used to be an excellent Italian restaurant, but not anymore. Service was slow and poor, but the worst thing was that the food did not match the menu and was terrible. We started with an Antipasto Insalata that was supposed to have assorted dried Italian sausages and prosciutto, marinated artichokes, imported olives and cheeses. It had plain cooked (burnt & dry/hard) italian sweet sausage, 4 small slices of pepperoni, olives from any jar, and cheese that you find in any cheap cheese tray at the supermarket.

The meals however were worse, one eggplant parmigiana with burnt greasy eggplant and almost no sauce and cheese, a veal and eggplant parmigiana with tough burnt imitation veal and the same bad eggplant, a parma rosa that had sauce that tasted like jarred Alfredo sauce mixed with ketchup. The side dishes of spaghetti with marinara were basically red tomato sauce with a little garlic over plain pasta.

Never have I seen such a poor excuse for Italian food from a restaurant. School cafeteria spaghetti would have been closer to real Italian food than this stuff.

“Average but not italian”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012

Ok maybe the founders were italians, maybe one of them was really named Vittorio, but now noone speaks italian here anymore, and the quality of the food is more like american than italian
This said, if you have no overexpectations you will still find some merit in this restaurant. Meat is good, and so is pasta, even though overcooked.
Friendly staff, reasonable and honest pricing.

“A nice Italian restaurant with excellent food.”

We have been here several times and have enjoyed many of their entrees. A good place to go for a great meal.

“Typical Neighborhood Italian Restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2011

Always searching for new restaurants, especiallty Italian which my wife adores, we came across Vittorio's, which we had never heard of before. So banking on Trip Advisor reviews we took some friends there. True to other reviewers, there was plenty to eat but not the best Italian around, at least to my taste. That not they had a 2 for 1 Chicken Parm dinner which was a good deal. I had a Veal specialty but thought it was too heavily breaded and served with mushy vegetables and au gratin potatoes. The bread was a small loaf of what appeared to be fluffy white bread instead of crusty Italian. Service was kind of hit and miss and it was quite warm in the dining room. If you're in the area on weeknite looking to fill up, give it a try.
