We stayed here for 4 nights for a reunion. Towne Place Suites is a great base location for the western suburbs of Cleveland.....right off an expressway. Also only a 15-20 minute drive to airport. Staff was friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed using the gym equipment.The facility seemed tired to us, and although their website says breakfast is included, be aware that it is a self serve basic breakfast, and no place to eat it except in your room. (I'm assuming that's because the units have mini kitchens.) Pets are allowed in this facility and we had a barking dog on our floor. We would have preferred the Marriott Courtyard which is in front of Towne Place Suites, but there was no vacancy. If you are visiting for an event, the Courtyard has a breakfast gathering place which would allow you to eat & visit with other friends attending the same event.

My 2 children and I spent 10 nights at the Towneplace Suites by Marriott in Westlake in June, 2011. We were in the midst of relocating, and wanted somewhere that had more space than the usual hotel room. Our suite was a 1 bedroom, which had a seperate bedroom, living area, bathroom and kitchen area. The bedroom had a queen bed, and the room was a bit small, had to close the door to watch the TV. The living area was nice, a fold out couch, table and 3 chairs, TV and bookcase. The bathroom was extremely small, the sink area was OK, the the toilet/bathtub area was so small that you could barely close the door while in there. The hotel did offer free WI-Fi service, but you had to be plugged in for it. The kitchen was a full kitchen, that had several pots, pans, etc. as well as a dishwasher. The grab and go breakfast was always the same, juices, milks, cereals, bagels, muffins, coffee. There was a very small store that sold basics, as well as a laundry room. They also have a small outdoor pool which was nice to have. Guests staying here get use of the 5 Seasons Country Club which is 1 exit down the road. I highly recommend using a pass during the summer - the outdoor pool is amazing! The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants that can be walked to, and easily accessible off of I-90. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but had there been more than 3 of us, I think it would have been too small for that long of a stay.

We got a room here for a couple days to use as a "home base" while visiting family in neighboring Lakewood. The desk clerk tried to talk us into a "one bedroom" which was really too big for 1-2 people, especially since we weren't going to be in it that much. The "studio" for about 75-80 dollars a night was a much better deal. It had a bedroom, TV, large desk unit with Internet access, a small kitchenette, clean no-frills bathroom, and closet. The hotel is located right off I-90 with nothing else around except a few chain restaurants, some other hotels and a hospital, so it was very quiet. The room was clean and furnishings appeared to be new within the last few years. Wi-Fi was a little bit slow but that's to be expected. Only minus was the free breakfast - no bagels were available, only very stale (as in rock-hard) English muffins, and packaged Sara Lee sweet rolls, as well as cereal. I don't expect a lot of breakfast choices for 80 dollars a night, but those muffins were more like hardtack and shouldn't have been put out for customers. Nevertheless, we would stay here again if we had to return, because it's a good value for the money paid.

Seasoned traveler and Marriott Platinum Elite road warrior here reporting live from the dump that is Townplace Suites. Here on relocation for my corporate move while the new house is painted and carpeted pre-move for 10 days. Note that this is a very dated property with the exception of the lobby, rooms are old, not the usual Marriott "look", reminds my husband and I of apartments we would have lived in if we were destitute in college. Bugs, lots of bugs of all types here.......fruit flies, ladybugs, spiders crawlings on the beds, etc. At least there's no bedbugs with all the hype LOL! Spotty cleaning and loud, clunky broken refridgerator. I've been promised a new/fixed fridge for 4 days straight....today I finally hit a wall and asked for the managers info. Would not stay here again nor would I recommend.
