There are many Indian restaurants in the Cincinnati area. Several of them are on the same road as Kadai. This place is different-- deliciously different. Located in a seriously non-nondescript strip plaza, you might miss it if you weren't looking for it. Kadai specializes in Hyderabadi cuisine They have dishes not found in other places we've tried-- like goat, mutton, varied seafood. Everything is made fresh when ordered, so this isn't the place to go when you are in a hurry. There is a buffet at lunch, but we went at dinner. I ordered the Dum ka Chicken. It was a highly spiced chicken in a brown sauce. My husband got the lamb boti kebab. Both were delicious. The kebab had a bit of heat to it, but the meat was tender and absolutely delicious. The freshness of the food was evident. The garlic naan was generously full of bits of garlic. I tried a tavva parata bread that was a softer, grilled bread. Quite satisfying. The next time I go I plan to try a biryani. A table near us ordered it and it is a huge, colorful dish. It looked amazing. The owners are present on site, and often are the ones taking your order. We enjoyed our meal here quite a lot. The night we were there, they were short-staffed, and they apologized profusely for delays. We were not in a hurry, so we didn't mind. Kadai had a nice, comfortable ambiance. It did not seem apparent to me whether alcohol was served. We'll definitely return to Kadai. We'd been looking for a new go-to Indian restaurant. We think we found it!
