“Gorgeous Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2005

Our four night, five day stay at the Wingate Inn- West Chester wasn't what we expected; it was more. Our first impression of the hotel was "Are you sure this is only $99.00 a night?" It was beautiful. It was a nice distance from all of Cincinnati hot spots. Just seconds away from the town of West Chester, it was located on its own private drive, neighboring the local country club.
The employees of the Inn were all beyond helpful. They invited us for free drinks for customer appreciation. They were also helpful with directions and offered us maps and the use of the business center which included high-speed internet, copy, and fax services, all free of charge.
Other services were available to us including a laundry room, dry cleaning, and in-room massages, all for small fees. Free services included a daily newspaper, ice machine, pool, spa, workout room, and twenty-four- hour front desk assistance.
We also enjoyed the fact that housekeeping was prompt and respectful of our sleeping wishes. The extended continental breakfast was a God sent. It was nice enough that we, not once, had to buy breakfast. This breakfast included eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit, milk, coffee, juices, etc. It was wonderful!
As you can read, our stay was most enjoyable. With unexpected luxuries, helpful staff, and pocket change left, this is a must stay in the Cincinnati area.

I stayed here despite a bad review that I read, just because it looked so nice. The employees were very friendly, the room was great, very clean, with a soothing modern design. Breakfast was very good- the real glasses, coffee mugs and plates were a pleasant change from the normal paper and foam. I would definately recommend.

The place was nice.. very new and LOOKED clean.
I stayed there on a monday night.
The hotel doesn't have any resturant in it.
So if you're hungry at night good luck or you can always have pizza hut deliver.

I had a requested an queens size bed and got a full size instead.
It was unfortunate that the hotel wasn't exactly CLEAN!
I think there were flees in the sheets or in the hotel room cause I
had little bit marks all over my legs and arms.

Also I was on the second floor and the ppl upstairs were nosiy
even with full carpeting...

I won't stay there again, its a nice, new hotel but you can't always judge a book by its cover..

The Wingate Inn is quite attractive and comfortable. The best thing by far about the hotel is its location: tucked away from the highway exit area. The surroundings are quiet, relatively pretty, and you can actually walk -- on sidewalks! -- to a nearby restaurant. This was an unexpected benefit, most welcome after hours on the road!

This hotel markets itself as business hotel, but my family found it to be an ideal place to stay when visiting King's Island. In fact, they have a good package deal if you are planning to go to King's island. It is 7 minutes from the King's Island and is far, far nicer and well valued over the lodging right by the park. It is super clean, and a bit more upscale than a Hampton Inn or Courtyard by Marriott. In addition, it is tucked in a very nice/upscale part of town so there are minimal worries about crime or security issues. The only slight downside, from a family standpoint, is that is doesn't have an outdoor pool. This shouldn't be too big a problem because King's Island has a water park to get all the outdoor swimming out of your system before you crash for the night. It does have a nice, clean (somewhat small) indoor pool and Jacuzzi. In addition, it has a small (but very clean and well organized) workout room and free high speed internet access in every room. There is also a small refrigerator and microwave in every room.
Next year when visit Kings Island we will choose this hotel again.

This was a mediocre experience. We had booked a queen bed and by the time we realized we had a full bed instead we were too tired to ask for a change of room. The pool is small and so are the rooms. The refrigerator was not turned to cold so was pretty useless. We found the front desk staff indifferent and verging on unfriendly. I would not stay here again.
