“Great Stay - Family Approved”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2014

We were looking for a quick get away and drove the short distance from Pittsburgh and were greeted by pleasant smiles, great attitudes, clean modern rooms and an indoor pool our kids couldn't get enough of.

When you drive up to this new property, you see instantly that this hotel is set apart from the Amish Country style Bed & Breakfast type Inn's that sprinkle the area.

I won't be staying in any of those anytime soon as our family is now expecting a standard of stay that can't be repeated at those "local joints"!

We are more than happy to pay the few extra bucks to be pleasantly rewarded at every turn with this "diamond in the rough" find in Amish Country.

Lovely hotel. So very ultra modern and new. The decor is outstanding. They had the best breakfast we have had at a hotel. A hot buffet with bacon, scrambled eggs, chunky potatoes, and the usual bowls of fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, hard boiled eggs, rolls and breads, waffles, juices, etc. They even had packets of Frank's hot sauce that I love. I asked for a first floor room with a balcony and it was also modern and beautiful. We didn't have time to use the pool or exercise room, but I did take advantage of the wifi. It's in a great area. Just across the road are gift shops and The Der Dutchman restaurant that we always frequent. We will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room.

I have been in the travel industry for over 30 years. I am a National Sales Manager for PDT and travel weekly. This hotel is by far one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The view from the rooms are unbelievable. The staff is very accommodating and the rooms are just wonderful. They have a wifi, micro wave, refrigerator that really works well! The bathroom is wonderful the way I describe the hotel in very clean lines and modern! You just have to see it!

Room Tip: All rooms are reasonable and beautiful I like a high floor which is 5 th floor with a balcony. My ro...

We are frequent flyers here but I try to update reviews every few months if we have stayed again. Great location off Rt 39. Clean, spacious, chic, no country clutter here. Check-in is almost always without remark...generally pleasant, friendly, efficient girls at the counter. Rooms are spacious, very clean, well decorated and have extraordinary views of the country side...especially if you ask for a countryside view! Beds are super comfy, linens soft and silky, drawer space ample and bathroom well arranged and spacious...plenty of towels along with a walk in tiled shower. It is all a homerun. Pool area is very nice; hottub is is hot and well located. Outside are around pool is spacious, clean and hosts nice firepits for later evening hangouts. Breakfast is the only item that doesn't always strike our fancy. It's very nice, but it's always the same...sausage gravy, eggs, bacon, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, rolls and the like. It's quite adequate but there's just never any variation and if you're spending a few days there, it gets old. Other than that, this is the PERFECT PLACE to stay in Amish country!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor on the backside of hotel for gorgeous views.

So fun to be in a modern hotel in Amish country! I took my mom and 9 year old daughter. The deluxe queen room was spacious and clean. Shower was great and view of the countryside was beautiful. Wallhouse coffee was delicious! Stopped at the café in Sugar Creek on the way home to purchase some. 100% recommend.

Thank you for sharing with our friends on TripAdvisor about your experience at the Wallhouse Hotel. We, just like you, also love the coffee from the Wallhouse Coffee Company. It's great that they are located just a few miles from our hotel. Thank you for staying with us and for your time. We love to hear from our guests and greatly appreciate the review.

If you are looking for quilts on your bed this isn't the place. But, if you are looking for large, clean rooms with very comfortable beds, this is the best. Ultra modern decor for a 65 year old, but, I love it. Great place.

The hotel is centrally located and very easy to access. I was surprised at how modern the hotel was and had not stayed in one similar. The colors are very bold but attractive. The furniture is not my taste and would be a problem for people who have trouble getting up from a low position. My four knee surgeries put me in this category. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows too. The view is beautiful. You will not find a better breakfast! Most of the rooms do not have a bathtub, but the shower is very nice. There are no table lamps and only overhead lights. We went for a morning walk in the farm land behind the hotel. It is quite hilly but a beautiful view. We also met a lovely Amish woman on our walk who told us a lot about the area. I didn't get a chance to look at the pool area but my friend used the fitness room and she indicated it served it's purpose. One of my friends lost a valuable necklace while there and was quite upset. An hour after we checked out, the hotel called and said they had located it which saved the day.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the back of the hotel for a great view.
