It is an average hotel. Pretty dated. Decent location on the riverfront, in downtown. Good TV, ok access to power. The restaurant has a breakfast buffet with an omlette chef, oatmeal, bacon, fruit and cereal. Staff is friendly. Nothing really bad, nothing particularly outstanding.

We stayed for a concert at the Huntington Center and did not have any of the problems as mentioned in other reviews. The valets were courteous and prompt (although the front entrance was usually chaotic and jam-packed with calls all weekend) and the rooms were fine, just nothing spectacular. The front desk personnel were pleasant and our check-in/checkout were without incident. I saw the reviews before I stayed here and tried to keep a lookout for potential issues, but did not run into any. I did find all of the prices/rates from the other reviews to be accurate...so if you're worried about cost per night, coffee prices, or valet/parking rates, then you may want to stay somewhere else, otherwise, it was a good stay.

Hotel is in a good setting and looks great from outside. The rooms are outdated and need work. Peeling paint in some rooms, and counter tops were chipped.
Hotel services do not measure up - clerks do not know correct information and you almost always have to call twice in order to confirm details.

Room Tip: try for river view

Stayed here for a Bob Seger concert as well. No problems with check in, and I got a corner room that was very nice. The room was cold at first, but turned up the thermostat and it was fine. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. Had a nice big desk area and power strips for all your devices. The weather was bad and they only had 2 guys running the valet, but they were friendly and helpful. It's $16 a day for valet, which I paid rather than walk from a garage across the street lol. They provide a shuttle to local places- anywhere you want to go. Then return to pick you up with a phone call. We used the shuttle for the concert and it was convenient. There is a Hollywood casino close- just over the bridge and they will take you there as well. Overall, we had a great time and the room worked well for us. By the way, Bob Seger was awesome :) I would stay here again.

I didn't read the reviews before booking a stay to enjoy a concert at the Huntington Center, but they are all true.
No heat is turned on anywhere in the hotel.
Our room had a dirty lamp and chair.
You pay 2.00 for coffee in the lobby to pump it yourself! The desk clerk told me that nicer hotels never have free coffee in the lobby. I would understand that if someone were pouring it and they actually had a coffee bar.
The front desk staff was rude both and check in and check out.
They manage to put the bill underneath your door, but no one was checking on the floors while the drunk revelers tried to break into our room at 4am.
DO NOT STAY HERE.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else. Ice Bar right down the street is AMAZING!!!!!

7 friends stayed March 1st (3 rooms) - we were going to see Bob Seger. The staff are very friendly (Dan-Mgr) very pleasant, working with staff. This Hotel is now a Best Western - so bring your points card if you have one. Conveniently located right downtown, a shuttle, valet parking which was the best bet. All of our rooms were clean, warm and each one different. There is a little "Aqua Bar" nice atmosphere. Beautiful lobby. Free coffee in room and lobby in the morning. Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised! The view from your room is amazing.

Room Tip: Stay on the Ottawa River side - it has a beautiful view!

I was way nervous after reading the reviews about staying here to watch the Toledo Walleyes play, but I took a risk and it happened to be a good risk. They however did not have my reservation on file which was made two weeks in advance, but quickly checked me in even without the reservation and figured it out later on. The view is absolutely amazing, and the walk to the arena was nothing. Did not even need shuttle even though they do provide it. The valet parking, I highly recommend and very nice valet staff. Overall, after reading the reviews it's worth taking the risk and finding out for yourself.

The only downside they did overcharge my card, but was quick to get it fixed after one phone call to the hotel. Staff was very nice.
