We stopped for about an hour on the way back to Michigan from down south over the holidays, so my son (2.5 years old) could see the Sesame Street exhibit. He loved, especially Elmo, Bert, and Ernie exhibits on healthy habits. He also loved the Under 5 area with sinks where he pretended to wash his hands, playhouses, and over-sized blocks. He was disappointed that we had to leave when they closed at 5 (We got there at 3:45 pm). Could have easily spent 2-3 hours or more there. Imagination station is an ASTC museum (Association of Science and Technology Center), which means if you're a member of another ASTC museum and are more than 90 miles (as the crow flies) from your home museum membership, admission is free. I looked for all the ASTC museums on our route to and from Alabama.
**Note that the Sesame Street exhibit was a traveling exhibit that was slated to end Jan. 27th. However, there is a LOT to do here for the 5 and under AND the 6-12 crowd. Admission is around $9.50 for adults, discounts for kids and seniors.
