Description: Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.

“Hidden Gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

This place has great apps and great atmopshere. Ask about happy hour beer prices. Also, if you have a group of 8-12 ask for the smaller private room off of the main diningroom.

Service was very good and the food was great! They were very tolerant of us sitting for a long time and never made us feel rushed!

“Take-out is as good as dine-in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

We eat at this location about once per month and we dine-in as much as take-out. Tonight, on a Wednesday night, they had a 2 pc band playing in the bar. I've never known the place to have entertainment before.
Our go-to meal is a veggie burger. Appear to be hand made but tonight was alittle overseasoned. Our sides were brown rice with carrot matchsticks, pineapple and mango pieces. Our starter was a layered white bean tuscan salad, fresh diced tomato & basil and glazed with balsamic. This is really fantastic.
The restaurant really does a great job of packing meals to go. The burger & side come in a 2 part plastic container with vents so that heat doesn't overcook the meal or let it become soggy. Very clever. And all reasonably priced: 2 of everything for $29!
But don't waste money on the $7 Long Island pitcher. Not worth it at all with well liquor.

“Great Selection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2013 via mobile

We loved the menu choices. My husband had the salmon BLT and I tried the baja fish tacos. Both were good and just the right portions. My only complaint is the alcohol prices, but it seems as though all the chains do this.

“Average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

My husband and I have visited the restaurant three times and each time our experience has been fine; nothing special or out of the ordinary. The wait can be very long so on our last visit we tried to get there a little before the dinner rush and luckily we were seated without a wait. Our server was friendly and attentive until a table was seated behind us that ordered several rounds of drinks. She seemed to abandon our table because after that, we were never brought refills or asked how our food tasted. When she brought the check I had to ask her for more water.

I ordered the grilled chicken salad with a bowl of their loaded baked potato soup and my husband ordered the salmon blt with fries. The soup was very tasty! My husband liked the sandwich and said he would get it again if we came back.

We like the restaurant for its convenient location right next to Southpark mall. After shopping at Macys, it's nice to be able to walk right over to the restaurant without fighting traffic to leave and go somewhere else for dinner.

They do have a decent menu selection and since it is in a convenient spot, I'd recommend a visit. The restaurant can get noisy so if you're looking for a nice quiet dinner then this probably wouldn't work for you.
