We chose the BW Cedar Point for its proximity to the park and price and onsite restaurant. The travel time to the park entrance ended up being about 7 minutes which was perfect as I had to go back and pick up the kids at 10:00 (park Closing).
Our two double rooms (three of them) were clean and comfortable and well in line with normal rates for the area in July. We paid $98 with the AAA discount. The Perkins Restaurant on site turned out to be better than expected for both dinner and breakfast. Service is the restaurant was outstanding for both meals. Kids enjoyed a late nite swim in the pool which was convieniently open until midnite. I used the wireless Hi-speed internet in the lobby area which was free and connected easily. The hotel had plenty of parking and we were able to park right outside the door to our part of the property. We made our reservation through the Best Western website but I did notice that the hotel had several room or suite options including a 4 room suite with two King rooms. This option didn't show up on the BW site but might be a good idea for a couple of families or a large group.
The hotel is far from new so if that is part of your criteria you may be disappointed. All in all the BW Cedar Point met our needs perfectly and I would stay there again when visiting Cedar point.
One note about Cedar Point. It was a very hot 95 degree Sunday in July. A bit uncomfortable but the combination of Sunday and the heat helped reduce the crowds. Wait times for Millenium and Dragster were no more that 25 minutes each.
