We have stayed at the Breakers and in the cabins. This year we chose to bring our trailer and stay at Camper Village. This was a really great choice for us. We like being able to take a break in the middle of the day to walk back and cook lunch and relax before returning to the park. It makes things a lot more enjoyable if you can take a break in the middle, as days go by quickly but are also exhausting. There were only a few things that could have made our stay better. First, it would be nice if there were sectioned off walkways for the public so that people aren't just wandering through your campsite which is extremely rude since no one just walks through someone's hotel room!!! (check out a Michigan state park). We had a group of very loud teenage girls and another group go through our campsite to get back to the hotel and they were very unapologetic. The worst part of either situation was they didn't just go through our site, they literally walked between where I was sitting at the picnic table and our trailer. If someone had opened up the door or we had not put our awning up someone would have either been clotheslined or smacked with a door. Second, the bathrooms were just as dirty Saturday night as they were Sunday morning. I don't think anyone had taken the time to clean and the soap and towel dispensers were empty. Finally, it would be nice if the grills were positioned a little closer to the road on some lots because the back-in we had didn't allow us to keep our awning down and still be able to grill. Don't get me wrong, the campground is nice but the few issues we had should be quick fixes that would make a stay there that much more enjoyable. We will stay again but hope there are not the same issues as we had this year.
