“Meat, meat related stuff, and you have to wait for it - you won't mind!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

As far as atmosphere goes, it is a building that has been a bar for over 60 years – so don’t go expecting a high-class tablecloth joint! The food brings many back time after time. Car clubs and biker caravans make this a destination in the summer, so don’t go on Friday or Saturday expecting to be seated, served and out the door in time to get to the 7 o’clock screening. The place is BUSY because they serve food people LIKE! On many occasions, we call in an order in advance and carry it home (A SMALL steak dinner – that’s what they call it – can be divided between the two of us and fill us up – and I am NOT a small-sized person! The baked potato is also big enough to share!) They offer two kinds of Cole slaw –German (vinegar based) and Creamy (Creamy), so be prepared to make your choice. They continue to add seating – most recent is the patio seating – but you must remember – YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT unless you have absolutely perfect luck in timing (Many times it is seat yourself, so you must stand around and wait your turn – everyone is polite and no one crowds). Yes, you can bring the children, and NO it is not a dive or bar where felons hang out. There is no dart board or pool table – this is a bar/eatery for hungry people of all ages. The other thing to remember is that the prices represent good food and lots of it – so don’t faint when you see the menu. The basic choices – the Small Steak, The Rib Dinner (small, medium and large – if you are hungry order the MEDIUM: if you are a regular eater, order the SMALL), or the Chicken (cooked on the wood fire, not fried). This place does not have your tofu-ey, calmari-fy, novella cuisine-ey stuff – the name of the game is MEAT!

“Best steak and ribs within the tri-state”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

Local flavor that cooks out over open grills. Some of the best ribs and enjoy the local beer.

“Awesome food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2012 via mobile

The food is definitely all you go to this place for...servers (the one we had) was horrible, rude and acted like we were bothering her...the food is outstanding and the BBQ sauce is simply amazing...

“Go early to avoid a wait, or go early and wait anyway...it's worth it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2012

Recommended by friends as fabulous, and they were right. Went at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait for 30 minutes...that's the best recommendation. The ribs are more like lean chops a (very little fat or bone), grilled in the parking lot, and come with no sauce. But the sauce on the table is delicious! Onion rings were huge and crisp. Only didn't give 5 starts because the rib portions are unequal. My "one ribber" was half the size of my friend's. Still, it was plenty for the average woman's appetite.
