“A pretty good hotel at a decent price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Usually I say you get what you pay for,but with this i think you get a little more,I've stayed at some dumps for more. Overall a I'd say its a pretty good hotel at a reasonable price."and that is all I have to say trip advisor shouldn't make a 200 character minimum now I have to ramble on about nothing "

We returned to this location for 3 work projects north & south of here. Rather than move from hotel to hotel over the course of a week, we'll drive.

The double room offers a separate living room with a desk, TV, couch & side chair. There is a HUGE, long counter with a bar sink, small frig, microwave and coffee pot that separates the living room from the bedroom. Having all that prep space PLUS the bathroom countertop is unique and greatly appreciated.

The wireless internet is fast, but the WIRED internet made me realize my PC isn't slow at all! Did I mention how much SPACE there is in this room? I can only imagine what a suite is like :)

First time we stayed here, our GPS messed up. You have to go around the cul-de-sac to get to the entrance ... it's not where the GPS thinks it is. Just 5 minutes north or south are every store or restaurant anyone could possibly need or want. This is a great location and a great Best Western Plus property!

Room Tip: 3 floors, everyone parks in front, but there are plenty of parking spaces on the back side of the ho...

I booked this for my boys, so I didn't see it. However, it was right off 70 and the boys said it was perfect. They were driving back to school in Colorado and it was on the way. The price was perfect cause I used Priceline. The location was ideal and they said it was great, very clean. No issues.

Stayed here for one night while on a business trip to nearby Pataskala. I liked having the large, spacious suite, particularly for such an affordable price - less than the price that many places charge for a regular size room. I especially appreciated having a wall thermostat and quiet central heating, rather than a loud wall mounted unit (that just blows the heat up into the curtains) like most hotel rooms have. The suite was clean, and everything worked sufficiently, but some of the furniture was looking pretty "tired" (although the bed was fine). In addition to some newer furniture, the place could definitely use some additional lighting. Even with every light in the suite turned on, it's still pretty dark, especially in the front room. Even the hotel lobby seemed dark and poorly lit. Also, I have to wonder, what's with the VCR in the suite? Who in 2013 still watches VHS tapes? And even if you were so inclined, where would you even get one? No one rents VHS tapes anymore, and stores haven't sold VHS movies in years.

There is an almost unlimited amount of stores and restaurants in the area, but the hotel itself is tucked back in a secluded spot. You do get a quiet and spacious suite here, for a very affordable price, so I would have no problems staying here again on future trips to the area. Addressing the minor issues mentioned above would take this hotel from average to great. I.e., replacing the tired furniture, installing better lighting in the suites, and replacing the old tube tv's with modern, flat-panel televisions...and yes, losing the VCR's in favor of BD (or at least DVD) players. I'm sure that would result in a rate increase, but as long as it wasn't too drastic, it would be a worthwhile endeavor.

Thank you for your comments about your recent stay at our hotel. I always appreciate hearing how we do, whether it is good or leaves us some room for improvement. If we don’t know what is wrong, we can’t make it any better.
I do see you did find our furniture little tired and TV sets old. We do have New flat Panels on our list and will be installed very soon and and the VCR's have been removed from all the rooms.

Hospitably,

Mike Motiwala
