After being treated quite poorly by the Amerihost down the street, the front desk at Best Western was very understanding and accomodating. The first night we were there was not pleasant. The hotel was booked to capacity and we received the last room in the place which we were warned was awful. Beggers can't be choosers and we weren't. The first floor room was plagued by the noises of people running/walking above. The room was old but clean. However, the AC unit had a nasty dripping noise.

The following two nights were great as we were moved to a King jacuzzi room on the second floor. It was clean, quiet, and big. I would encourage the upgrade to this kind of room. It even had a small frig.

The breakfasts were lame and overcrowded but the staff at the desk is great.

We stayed at this hotel during a recent trip to Cedar Point. It is a bit of a drive to the park,(20 min?) but well worth it. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast was better than most, lots of bread, pastries, fresh coffee, milk, cereal.
We ended up booking it directly through the hotel website and found it to be quite a bit cheaper than using the well known travel sites.
Remember to ask for C.P discounts, the hotel staff can help out withthat.

This hotel was very clean and nice, has a pool, continental breakfast and only about 20 minutes from Cedar Point. Very good location for the area. Price was one of the best. Only drawback was the front desk staff weren't friendly, otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Would definately stay here again.

We stayed at the Best Western Norwalk for one night. We got a reasonable rate at $86. I booked this because I hate to spend more than $100/night for a hotel and so many of the Sandusky hotels are overpriced. We chose to stay a bit farther away and save some $$$. We went to Cedar Point in the morning and headed to the hotel for an afternoon rest. We arrived at 2:30 but since check-in wasn't until 3:00 we had to wait. The clerk wasn't extremely nice about telling us this, but since we were early, I didn't make a fuss about it. We hung around until 3:00 and then checked in. The room was acceptable. The shower/toilet area was extremely small and the tub didn't drain all that well. The beds weren't the best that I've had at a hotel, but not terrible either. The room was clean and the free wireless internet worked great.

The only thing that really bugged me about the hotel was that the doors slammed really loudly when they shut. We had a neighbor that must have gone in and out of his room 3 or 4 times and the door slammed every time!

We didn't use the pool although it looked clean and nice. We decided to have a full breakfast out before we headed home so I'm not sure how that was. The trip to Cedar Point was about 16 miles which was definitely acceptable for us. If we had our kids with us, it might have been nice to stay a little closer though.
