“Went for the Wiener Schnitzel but will go back for the Italian too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

I grew up in this neck of the woods when Hungarians and Hungarian restaurants were plentiful. I moved away and the Hungarian restaurants disappeared for the most part. So while visiting the area I was thrilled to find this place with two of the legacy Hungarian dishes on the menu; wiener schnitzel and veal paprikash-both served with spaetzle. The schnitzel was delicious and not greasy. The dumplings were light and the bit of paprikash sauce on the spaetzle was to die for. We figured if the new owners of this place could perfectly master these two Szarkas dishes, their Italian food had to be great as well. So we'll be back for the schnitzel and some pasta too!

“Really Surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We really enjoyed ourselves! The food was plentiful and delicious and we had really great service. We were glad to find a local, non-chain, family restaurant with reasonable prices. We will definitely be repeat customers!

“Great food - and plenty of it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This Italian restaurant used to be a Hungarian restaurant, Szarka's. When they purchased it, they retained two of the most fantastic Hungarian recipes - the Weinerschnitzel and the Veal paprikas! All of their food is very good and very reasonably priced, especially considering the huge portions they serve. The atmosphere is not that great, but it is a perfect place to get a good hardy meal and wine!

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Small, independently owned, homemade taste, friendly service, reasonable prices, no televisions-perfect for talking and connecting. Great lasagna, stuffed msuhrroms, ravioli, pizza and inexpensive wine list.

“Good for an affordable, mid-week dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Too busy to cook? Want a hearty meal? Don't want to break the bank or wait for a table? This is the place to go. The food is good, the service is friendly and competent, and the atmosphere is homey. It's not the place I want to go for a special dinner, but for a regular dinner out, it's perfect.
