“Would drive an hour to eat here...smoked meat to die for...reasonably priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

We recently ate here because we happen to like Bourbon and came across it in a google search..I was only disappointed that we hadn't been sooner. I had the smoked chicken and my boyfriend had the sausage and smoked pork. It was sooo tender and the flavor was wonderful. The sides were bourbon mac and cheese and bourbon baked beans, and if you've never cooked with bourbon, it makes everything sweet without any alcohol taste, and those were some of the best sides i've ever eaten.
We each got two large meals with 2 sides each and all together had 3 shots of bourbon, one coke, and one beer and our total was $48... well worth it! We're actually going back tonight and can't wait.

“Good service and atmosphere but the food was terrible!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

We visited Chappy's on a Friday night with a party of 4. We arrived a little late so we missed the dinner crowd. The waitress was very nice and attentive. One of us ordered a baked potato, one of us ordered the ribs, I ordered the turkey leg. First the good: the drinks were good and service was fast. The corn pudding was very good. Now the bad: The person who ordered the baked potato said it the cheese was hard that was on it and she had to ask for additional toppings to even eat it. I had the turkey leg and it seemed overcooked and was not tasty at all. My husband had the ribs and he indicated they were "ok" but he had better. I believe the restaurant has good ideas, they recently started smoking food which seems to be a big hit around here. But for $70.00 we'll go somewhere else next time. Very disappointing because we were all very hungry and were not satisfied.

“Drinks are good - food is average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

A group of 5 visited Chappy's on Friday, January 17. We heard they started serving food so this was the sole reason for our visit.

We ordered 3 of the huge baked potatoes, a flat bread and a Brisket Sandwich. The potatoes are HUGE and pretty well stuffed. The flatbread was good - nothing special. But, the brisket was not very good at all. It was mostly fat and pretty dry. The bread on which the brisket was served would have tasted much better had it been toasted. Along with the brisket was a side of cole slaw and mac n cheese. The cole slaw was good - but the dressing was running all over the plate. The mac n cheese needed some seasoning. There seemed to be something missing,

We woud definitely go back for drinks. And, I'd give food a try again in a few weeks. I'm sure it's just growing pains!
