I had to go to Dayton for a funeral and needed a cheap hotel near the church where the funeral was being held. Knights offered a room for $48 which was the cheapest I could find.
Checkin was ok. They didn't have the room ready when I arrived, which was fine. I had an early flight and check in time is normally 3PM. So I had to go meet with the family for a bit until the room was ready.
The exterior has some very significant deferred maintance issues. This is not a situation where some lipstick would do the trick. The stucco needs repaired and judging from my own room, they need to replace door jambs to properly hang the doors.
The main living area actually was actually acceptable. Looks like a coat of paint had been thrown up. Carpet was old and tired. The bed appeared to be clean.
But the bathroom was a disgrace. This is a full rehab situation. The tubs need reglazing and I would suggest a fulle bath surround as the walls were dirty. The floors are pretty beat.
Overall, I could have paid an extra $20 to stay at a chain hotel down the road and looking back I would have done just that. But if you are dead set on spending $48 a night, then this is where you do it.
