“Best Hotel in Medina I-71 Area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2011

My wife and I have stayed here numerous times over the past year, coming for family visits.

It is Excellent for the area and location. None of the other hotels in this area are near the quality of this Hampton--we or other family members have stayed at the Red Roof, Motel 6, and Best Western, none of which have rooms as nice, breakfast as good, lobby as well maintained, and desk people as friendly.

Rooms are large and what you would expect for business travel--very comfortable beds, nice flat-screen LCD TVs, large bathrooms with good showers.

There is a pool--fun for kids! which is the group most frequently there with their parents--and a small exercise room with three machines-a treadmill, bike, and elliptical. Breakfasts are always the same--a large wall-mounted TV with news on in the background while the fare is ample, an omelet or pancakes or other main dish, sausage usually, waffles you make yourself, toast, bagels, muffins, OJ, lots of coffe or tea. In other words, all the excellent touches for a hotel for this kind of travel.

It is Not a hotel for a romantic getaway, not a large urban city hotel with amenities.

Hotel staff are very friendly and pleasant.

Dings: Occasionally there is no one at the front desk. The elevators are verrrrry slow and a bit noisy.

Room Tip: Stay on first floor if you don't like waiting for the slow elevator

My husband and I stopped overnight on our way to out of state wedding. The hotel was wonderful. The beds were the most comfotable that we have experienced in a hotel. Had intentions of leaving early amazed that we didn't wake up until 9. Had a very nice free breakfast. We didn't get to see any of the area since we arrived very late. Would definetly stay here again

We stay here at least once a year since I have family nearby. Rooms are always clean and the staff accomodating. Had a flickering light in the bathroom and saw someone who worked there - not sure what he did - but it was promptly fixed. Only thing was in the room cleaning, someone should make sure to dust off the phones. Ours looked liked it had been weeks since anyone touched it.
I've also stayed at other Hampton's and this one had by far the best and most varied selection for breakfast - eggs, bacon, waffles, fresh fruit and yogurt, pastries, oatmeal, cereal, juices and coffees.
Very convenient location right by I-71.
Pool was clean too.

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding the weekend of 6/11/11 and were pleasantly surprised with the excellent service and nice accommodations. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and ready to provide any help needed. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Free wi-fi was greatly appreciated and the free continental breakfast was a welcome convenience for our busy weekend. Hats off to the entire Hampton Inn staff!

The hotel is okay for a quick in and out stay. The rooms were smaller than some hotels I have stayed in recently but larger than others. I am not a fan of the Hampton Inn beds which they tend to promote. The breakfast is not worth it unless you want to taste the powder in the eggs.

Watch all of your belongings while at the hotel. I walked in wearing a pair of jeans and when I got home, the jeans were no where to be scene. When I called the hotel, they claimed that they did not have any jeans. Apparently, the jeans vanished into thin air.

Stayed here on the way down South.

Got here late and was checked-in and in our room in 2 minutes.

Room was OK, typical Hampton Inn. Clean, spacious, free internet.

Breakfast was average, not much choice on the hot items if you don't like eggs, no meat at all.

Overall an average stay, would stay agian if in the area.

We stopped here on our drive back from a family vacation. The staff we interacted with-- including the staff at the front desk and maintaining the breakfast bar-- were friendly and hospitable. Our room was very clean and quiet and we thought the breakfast bar was great. It had a wide variety of food, including waffles, bacon, eggs, muffins, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit salad-- It had something to satisfy anyone's appetite. The hotel has small indoor pool and hot tub, which seemed well maintained. There was a small exercise room which also looked well-maintained, in addition to a "business center" that had a computer, printer, and office supplies for use (like a stapler, scissors, etc.)

Our hotel room was very nice. It had a very clean white comforter on the bed, which was a refreshing change from the floral ones you see at many places that you can't see the dirt on! With the way the room was decorated and the furniture (including a couch), it felt comfortable and cozy.

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel including a Buffalo Wild Wings and Bob Evans; however, there are no convenience or grocery stores within walking distance, though there are some a few miles away you could drive to.
