“Not bad.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012 via mobile

I basically agree with pepp7021 (hope I got that right). It's no swanky hotel, but for what it's rated and with realistic expectations we were very satisfied. We stayed one night on a trip from NY to WI. Easy to find some place for dinner (try Deet's BBQ!). Pool was small and busy, so we didn't try it.

Biggest complaint would be very little sound barrier between floors. We heard EVERY step made by the people above us.

Would stay again as a stop-over hotel.

This is apparently one of the few possibilities in the area for people traveling with pets; many, many guests with dogs. We had one ourselves, so this was certainly not a problem for us. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, I noticed no "doggy" odors in mine at all. (My son and his puppy were in the next room.) The price was reasonable, breakfast fairly standard (eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, waffles, assorted pastries & breads, juice, coffee, fruit). There is a large grassy area out back for dog exercise. We actually stayed here twice, once outbound on vacation and again on the way home. Staff were welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. There is a Red Lobster next door that will do take-out (in case you need to remain in the room with a pet), and several other restaurants within a block or so. Met our needs very well.

I don't know if there are smoking rooms, certainly all those around us were nonsmoking and we noticed several guests smoking outside.

Since we were limited to pet-friendly choices, I don't know what else may be available in the area. Certainly people with allergies, or simply an un-fondness for dogs, would likely prefer a different location.

Very clean rooms, good service and fiendly environment. There was no oders in the room and rooms are nice and clean. Prices for senior are very reasonable. The pool and pool area are clean and well kept. The staff is mannerly and friendly. We will be stayng here again.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are best for seniors and those with pets.

Great value, $89 + $10 pet fee. Very pet friendly, cheap add on fee to have a pet travel with you. Hotel looks like it was recently completely renovated and redecorated. Fresh paint, carpeting, furnishings. Simple, clean, quiet. Perfect as a stopover when driving crosscountry. Simple self-serve breakfast included.

Room Tip: Second floor away from road noise

This was a nice comfortable room for a good price. The hotel is a little bit further away from most things, but overall the location wasn't too bad. The room was clean and nice, and the service from the staff was very good. I was very happy with this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again.

The water damage next to the fridge and the shabby furniture should have been our first indication to run. I swear the floors and ceilings in this place are made of paper. All night long the person up stairs was pacing and the floor creaked with EVERY step. Then very early in the morning the guy next door began a dissertation of his life story to someone on speaker phone and I could hear every word. At first I thought he was in the hallway but soon realized he was in the next room. Upon realizing that we had little chance of getting any sleep we packed up and checked out. The hotel didn't seem to be concerned in anyway with our complaints. Unfortunately all the other hotels in town were full and we didn't want to keep driving but next time we'll be sure to spend the $75 on no dose and energy drinks and keep driving.
If you sleep like the dead then this place might be ok for you..if you don't I highly recommend someplace else.

Location in a neighborhood where buisness has left. Didn't make it a bad area. I felt safe. Check in was smooth and friendly. The room was fine, except the fridge and mic that was listed in the description was not there! As I walked down the hall the next morning, many room doors was open to air out. EVERY ONE OF THEM HAD A FRIDGE AND MIC! Also, they listed Queen beds. Ours beds was lucky to be a full sized bed. Half of the floor is smoking and the smoke seeps out of those rooms into the hallways and eventually into the non smoking rooms. We stuffed towels at the door. There was a leak in the bathroom which flooded out to the carpet. Had to been there a few days. This was repaired and the carpet shop-vac immediatly. Pool looked clean and felt warm.
