Stayed here many times as a kid and love the place, loved being able to get a pizza next to the pool. Well On our October 2010 trip, we decided its time to find a new hotel to stay at when we decide to visit kings island. It's dated, it feel like it stuck in the ages when the brady bunches stayed here. The Pizza Parlor is now closed, the pool area is sooo slick it almost to dangerous to go in. The beds were rough, the whole resort is rough. It was nice to be able to look out the windows and see Kings Island, now all you see if the great wolf lodge that took the place of the old Kings Island Campground. This really is a prime location, hope some updating and sprucing up is done to get the place up to date. There was also a dog show going on here, dogs were everywhere as well as their dog doo.

The rooms are very dirty. Moldy cracked tiles in bathroom. Brown stained mattresses, sheets & blankets. Holes in walls, ceilings & carpet. The pool is surrounded with ceramic tile which is slippery and shouldn't be used in wet areas. Major safety issue!! I was charged twice upon arrival and again 1 week later. I complained & was treated like a moron by Conrad in accounting. Don't stay here!! I could go on and on. Health departmentneeds to look at this place.

Our family arrived to find we had rooms with very dirty & stained carpets (dirt or mold or both!), damp and musty smelling odor throughout and damp towels if we had any at all in our rooms. No one unpacked, went directly back to the lobby. The attendant was very friendly (I think she knew these rooms sucked to begin with) gave us better rooms and complimentary breakfast buffet for all 14 of us. Housekeeping arrived every morning around 8 - 9am, asked if we needed anything, giving us fresh towels. Who needs their beds made when people are still in them? If we wanted our rooms done we had to call for service. Also, our shower didn't work on the 1st day but they came and fixed it promptly. We also had a plumbing problem , again maintenance came fast. Their maintenance staff must be very busy especially with the condition of this place. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was out of order too, but they gave us free ones from the "Grill". This hotel needs major upgrading! Where are Mason's health inspectors? This place was very good at one time, but now???? I would not recommend to any one I know!

This was our first Summer to meet as a family. Aunts (no bugs), cousins, grandmothers, and sisters. Some of our ADD people had no reservations and we all wanted to be close together. No problem. Yes, we had to exchange keys a few times, no big deal,; and there was a guy resting in one of the rooms we wanted but everything was taken care of with a little patience.

We left the park in the afternoon because of a violent storm, went back to our hotel, ran all around, jumped on the beds, had great pizze, went swimming and had a blast.

I never saw the first bug and I'm a school nurse of 25 years; I am the Queen of Lice. I see bugs and eggs where most people don't know where to look. Prepare yourself if you are paranoid. Purchase a one gallon Shop Vac for the roaches and bed bugs and take it everywhere you go. Don't let insects get to your head, I doubt they even got close to you.. I doubt they even exist at King's Island Inn. You are not at the Cartlton or Fountainbleau but I am sure that all Inns have a standard procedure for dealing with bugs....and also customers.

ANY roller-coaster enthusiast - get to King's Island, get a walk-on pass and stay at the Inn. King's Island has the best coasters in the World.

Ride the Diamondback and Beast 5 times each in one day; + the others - that will give you something to worry about.
