I should have looked more closely at the "amenities" list. A lot of these are standard items, and some are repeats, to make the hotel sound like it is offering more than it really has. Walking, the lobby was filled with obnoxious cigarette smoke from the three employees at the front desk. I found out the cancellation policy is 24-hour advance notice, so had to check in. The pool was located adjacent to the lobby, with big glass windows, so fine for families but no privacy whatsoever from anyone in the lobby. Ditto for the workout equipment, a couple of used-looking pieces stuck in a corner of the pool area like an afterthought. My room was adequate and thankfully smokefree, but upon opening one dresser drawer, I found discarded candy wrappers left behind by the previous occupant. No problemo, I opened the other drawer, only to find a smelly, dirty child's sweatshirt. So much for the thorough housekeeping. The room was fairly well furnished, with a modern bathroom/sink area just inside the door. Plenty of cable TV channels. You have to drive to get to any decent restaurants other than fast food or chain. Won't stay there again if I'm in Mansfield, I'll be at the Holiday Inn downtown, which is apparently the only hotel in town with a bar if that's what you want in a hotel.
