“Our neighborhood restaurant-lucky us!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2012

Grand River Cellars is a wonderful destination in itself, even outside a winery tour of this area, which includes 8 great wineries within a 1/2 hour drive. The staff are first rate, always friendly and attentive, even during the season in the warm weather, when it's crowded. The food is great, especially for being out in the country- no crappy diner food here! The septic laws mean that food is served on plastic played, but you won't mind when you experience the ambiance and music on weekend evenings! The wine is wonderful, and they serve their own micobrew beer . Dance your hearts out and experience the wi.dry magic just east of Cleveland!

“Good Wine and food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2012

The only disappointment is the lack of dishes and silverware for the food service due to the lack of water and sewers.

“Entertaining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

Wonderful Blues band played on Sat night. Seems they put significant investment in making that Winery high style with a fabulous natural mantel. They have a before and after photo book you can look through to see it's history at their coffee table in front of the fire. Charming waiters and waitresses served us both afternoon and later that evening when we returned for music. Nice dance floor to dance on when there was room. Good food to choose from as well as wines.

“4 Stars as a Winery - 1 Star as a Restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

We've visited this winery before & loved it. It's just beautiful and the wine is good. We've had appetizers in the past & wanted to try dinner. Our waitress was a smart aleck. Couldn't tell if she's just trying to be funny or really that rude and sarcastic. Decided to give her the benefit-of-the-doubt and overlook her attitude. My husband and I both ordered a steak dinner. The salad came out 1st & was really good. Nice mixed greens with a homemade tasting dressing. Things were downhill from there. The steaks were overdone and like rubber hockey pucks. The "Caribbean Vegetables" tasted straight from the freezer. We should have complained, but given the initial attitude of the waitress, we decided to call it a loss and paid for this expensive but horrible meal without any comments.
