This is a popular park southeast of Mansfield and near Malabar Farm. It roughly follows the Clearfork Mohican River from Pleasant Hill Lake to State Road 3. There are a number of trails for hiking (none more than two-miles long), bridle trails, mountain bike trails, and snowmobile trails. There are also cabins for rent, as well as camping and picnic areas. On a Wednesday afternoon we could see quite a few campers in cabins and tents along the river. There were plenty of places to park if you are camping, but I never found where you are supposed to park if you're just day hiking. We ended up parking near a restroom building that gave us close access to the Hemlock Gorge Trail.
It was kind of late the day when we visited so we weren't able to explore too much, but what we saw was beautiful. We hiked part of the Hemlock Gorge Trail. It is indeed at the bottom of a gorge, the Clearfork Gorge, and there are a lot of Hemlock trees. It is quite dramatic looking up to your north as you hike and seeing all the sandstone outcroppings and boulders that have fallen down the slope of the gorge.
