My wife and I met some old friends here. They picked the restaurant. It's really an old tavern on Ohio State Route 40 (National Road). In its history, six presidents have dined or lodged here - mostly in the 19th century. I had the walleye fish sandwich and water. The waiter was efficient but the food he brought was minimally good. I had to search to find the fish on the sandwich. But to make up for the sandwich shortcoming, they overloaded me with kettle potato chips. Luckily my friend picked up the tab or I would have something else to grieve about. I would probably lobby for another venue to meet at next time for dinner.
