Thought this would be a nice place to stay, but it definitely was not. The dude who took our money didn't even introduce himself, seemed confused about the money. We never met anyone named Cassidy. The Trail was the cabin we stayed in. Very dirty, definitely did NOT have a fully equipped kitchen like it said. The two top burner that it did have wouldn't even get hot enough to boil water! The toaster oven was so nasty and dirty we couldn't even use it. Instead we had to try to make lasagna in the dirty microwave oven. we assumed when they said fully equipped kitchen that included an oven. But no. just a two top burner that didn't work. Electricity shoddily run from their main house down to the cabins - electrical wiring EVERYWHERE along the ground, etc. The cabin was rather dirty, and the worst part is it was INFESTED with wasps. EVERYWHERE. We couldn't even sleep the first night, because we kept hearing wasps flying close to our heads. They were coming out of the curtains in the bedroom. They were coming from under the shoddily built platform bed. It was NOT a relaxing trip in any way because we spent 90% of our time in the cabin trying to kill wasps. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have stayed in many cabins in Hocking, and this is by far the worst. It proves to me that you get what you pay for. If you pay a low rate, you get low rate service. I'd rather pay $180 a night somewhere else that is really nice.
