“Highly Reccomend”

My wife and I have traveled to this part of Ohio a few times and have enjoyed our trips. Thanks to Zandra and Sunrise Cabins for adding to a great getaway for us. We stayed at the Lincoln Log Cabin. It was extremely clean. I loved the front porch and of course the hot tube. I would reccomend this cabin to any of my friends or family.

Room Tip: The Licoln Log cabin sat more by itself than the others. If you want a lot of pricacy, this would b...

It was a nice relaxing mini-family get-together at the Sunrise Lodge. We had 10 adults and was seriously blown away by the upgrades in this lodge. The lodge was clean with the exception of a few spiders but that is to be expected in the woods. That wasn't a huge dealbreaker, of course. Everything was detailed nicely down to the kids cups. The dollar game was fun and we found some money! The layout was perfect and Bruce (owner) was super nice and helpful. Hot tub was clean. Will recommend to anyone!!

Room Tip: AC can make the downstairs more cooler than upstairs

Absolute perfection! Pristine! We stayed in the Briarwood Cabin and it was absolutely immaculate! Never in over 30 years of traveling have we found a place to stay as immaculate as this. All details are thought of. Everything you could possibly need is there. We couldn't believe our eyes when we first walked into the cabin. The hot tub is equally as clean & perfect. If you're looking for seclusion, comfort & pristine lodging near Hocking Hills State Park, this is the place to stay. Suffice it say that I consider tripadvisor to be my travel bible but have never posted a review. This is the first. This place is so incredible that it demands appropriate recognition.

Room Tip: The Briarwood is perfect for a romantic couples getaway.

We stayed in Briarwood at Sunrise Log Cabins for our anniversary this year and it was exactly what we were looking for. The owners were very kind and helpful as we decided how to spend our time there. We cooked out one night on the grill and also made a full breakfast in the kitchen. We most enjoyed the hot tub and roasting marshmellows in our fire pit outside. We also drove to see Tecumseh and went hiking at Conkles Hollow-it was the perfect location and balance of relaxation, fun, exercise and beautiful romantic nature!

Room Tip: Briarwood Cabin was beautiful and extremely clean.

As other reviews have said - they thought of everything. The cabin was gorgeous inside and very clean.
Leftover firewood was available for us (free, although normally you have to pay $4 which is fine).
My only complaint is the bed - but I am a VERY picky bed sleeper. My fiance' fell right asleep without any trouble whatsoever.
The dollar/journal games they have here is hilarious.
This was our second time at the Hills. The first time we stayed at Glen Laurel. That place was extremely expensive, but you got what you paid for....here at the Sunrise, you get much MORE than what you pay for. So there's that!!
Will definitely come back.

Have been to Hocking Hills many times, but this past weekend was our first stay at Sunrise Log Cabins. We stayed at the Lincoln Log cabin which can accommodate 4 people. This cabin is very private, quiet, and extremely clean. We made full use of the hot tub, (also very clean) grill, fire pit, and kitchen. Enjoyed every minute, will be back again! Definitely check these cabins out and consider these for your next stay!

Stayed in Pinecrest from July 1st-4th 2011. 2 adults, 2 adult teens (19 & 18) and 1 child, 6 years old. We came in after check-in hours and the cabin was ready to go for us. Lights were on and air-conditioning was running.

We had requested fire wood and that was on our front porch.

We were pleasantly surprised and pleased at how nice this cabin really was. After reading all the reviews from cabins in the Logan area, we were not quite sure what we were going to get. This was our first cabin rental. I have high standards for cleanliness; always bringing my Clorox wipes to wipe everything down, checking for bugs everywhere, etc. From the moment we walked in, we did not feel like we needed to do that. It was not perfect, however, it was adequate and I did not wonder all weekend if there were bugs coming out at night.

The cabin has an air-conditioning unit in the wall. A ceiling fan in the main cabin area and another ceiling fan up in the loft.

There is a bedroom off the main floor and the only complaint we had is that there was no ceiling fan in that room, so if you close the bedroom door, the cool air can't reach the bedroom. We had brought a fan with us so we just used that and we were fine. There is a heater in that bedroom for colder months. Bed linens are provided. There is a dresser in the room and a place to hang a few items up.

The bathroom is a standard size bathroom with a cabinet and a vanity, plenty of room to store essentials. Extra toilet paper below the cabinet too. Another nice thing was that there were plenty of towels for our family. Often, a hotel room is only stocked with 4 towels and then we always need to ask for extras right away. This cabin was stocked with 6 bath towels and plenty of wash cloths and 2 hand towels. I brought suction cup hooks for in the shower and a suction cup soap holder to accommodate our families’ needs.

The kitchen has a stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, toaster, can opener, mixer, pots and pans, dishes and utensils. I saw one measuring cup. Not knowing what items I would need to cook, I did bring quite a few items with me. I did forget my measuring cups and spoons though and so plan ahead to bring specific items you might need. It would have also been helpful had I brought my griddle, trying to cook pancakes in a small fry pan became quite the challenge. :-) The kitchen also had napkins, coffee filters, salt & pepper, hot pads and dish soap and an extra role of paper towel.

The loft has a double size bed, a dresser, and a place to hang some items. This room had a ceiling fan and really needed it. This room is open to the downstairs.

There is a phone in the cabin and satellite TV and a DVD player available.

There are two other cabins near this one, however, we never felt like our privacy was being invaded. The fire pit is in front of the cabin, just across the road and is surrounded by trees on three sides. There is a nice covered porch on the front and a covered and very private porch on the back of the cabin. The hot tub on the back porch is very nice and very clean and is private. We had never used a hot tub before and a lot of the reviews on trip adviser talked about dirty hot tubs. No worries about this one at all, this one was very clean and well taken care of. Bring your own towels for after the hot tub. There are two hooks out on the deck walls for your towels.

If you rent the Pinecrest, you will like it. This cabin is very close to the Hocking Hills State Park which we loved.
