“Great Service, Clean, Quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2014

We had a wonderful stay at their Nestled Away cabin for a weekend in August!

We checked in with a very friendly clerk and wound past all of the cabins on our way to the end of the property where ours was located. Each cabin seemed very private. All was quiet and the views were beautiful.

Our cabin was clean! Located in the middle of the outdoors and cleaner than any hotel I've ever stayed in. We made good use of our fire circle for cooking and the clean and cozy hot tub on brisk nights.

I would recommend Hocking Hills Cabins to anyone looking for a secluded but accessible place to stay as a family, couple or group in Hocking Hills. Great value and relaxing stay! We will be back to enjoy the lovely fireplace this winter!

This was our first anniversary and our 2nd time to the Hocking Hills area. We stayed at the "Anniversary" Cabin at Hocking Hills Cabin. We arrived later than we wanted to at cabin due to construction traffic in Downtown Columbus, OH. We arrived after the office closed, but during our trip down we notified them that we would be running late. Upon arrival, I called the after hours number and Steve met us at the main office and got us checked in swiftly. Steve went over the essentials and helped us with dinner suggestions (both Utopia and Millstone were great and will get their Tripadvisor ratings as well). Our cabin did have a little bit of a walk from our parking area, but we knew this ahead of time and it is noted on their website which cabins have parking next to the cabins, and which ones you had a 2 minute walk to. Upon entering the cabin, it was very clean and cozy!! Everything you could want for a day, weekend, or longer! Full size refrigerator/freezer, kitchen sink, stove/oven, microwave, Sat. TV and DVD player. The hot tub was already running, clean, and up to temperature! The bathroom was clean and spacious. The upstairs loft area is the only bedroom, which could be tight if you are over 6 foot tall, due to the A-frame construction of the cabin. I am just at 6 foot and had no problem, but others could so take this into consideration for one of their larger cabins. The bed was fantastically comfortable. The decor of the cabin was cozy and cabiny (i know that isn't a word), without it being over the top woodsy retreat-ish. We had nothing but relaxation and a great time with Hocking Hills Cabins and will definitely be back and refer others here as well! Everything was perfect! Thanks for the great 1st Anniversary Memories!!

We stayed in this darling little cabin, one large open space, perfect for 2, secluded, hot tub on the back porch, and quiet. We had to be in the area for a workshop, and as it was also Ohio University's parent weekend, we considered this quite a find. Close to Logan (groceries, restaurants), about 15 minutes from Nelsonville, and idyllic, but not too far off the beaten path. Ashley was very polite and professional when we checked in, and we reviewed the rules - easy. The cabin - clean, welcoming, picturesque, nestled in the hills. Hot tub - nice and hot. The view off the porch - fantastic. The setting - relaxing. One caution...the steep, gravel trail from the car to the front door is convenient, but somewhat hazardous. Be careful.

The problem came when we stretched out to go to bed. We were on opposite sides of the bed and lay down...only to both roll into the center like we plunged into a bowl of Jell-O. It was hilarious and disappointing all at the same time. After struggling for about an hour to both be stretched out and reading, I finally gave up and slept on the couch. As we were there for the weekend, Saturday night I just planned on sleeping on the couch again to avoid the struggle to stay afloat. So while the cabin was perfect in many ways...the part where a good night's sleep would be helpful fell far, far from the mark. When I got up Sunday morning, my husband was so far down in the mattress, it looked like he was only about 2" thick. Again, hilarious but disappointing.

Room Tip: There are a number of cabins (6-7) on the property, and the property itself is beautiful and well-ma...

We stayed at Hocking Hills Cabins (Sunset ) from Aug 3 to Aug 9; The cabin was great with enough room for our family. TV/DVD/AC/Hot Tub...Sunset is located close to the pond, so it was our daily routine to feed the fish ( my children enjoyed it a lot).
There are a number of restaurants in the area; there is a city pool 10 min away from the cabin.
Old Man Cave and Ash Cave are within about 20-25 min ; The location of the cabin is perfect: close enough to the park and able to go to restaurants, shopping for groceries and children's playground.

If you or your family is looking for the quite get away, then we recommend this place. We took a family trip up to Ohio and passed by this along the way. The price was decent for the room and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed there for 3 nights and spent a lot of time hiking and other outdoor activities

I met a friend for a getaway reunion last week and thoroughly enjoyed our cabin. I expected a rustic cabin with pesky spiders and such, but was pleasantly surprised to find it immaculate! The bathroom looked brand new! The cabin included a full kitchen (no dishwasher) with dishes, pots, pans, etc. The bathroom had towels and soap, but did not include shampoo or lotion. Also, the bath towels had a sign asking they not be used for the hot tub as the bromine bleaches them. Outside, the cabin had a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), a fire ring, firewood, a picnic table, the hot tub, a covered porch swing, and outdoor patio chair and tables. The whole place was quaint and comfortable.

The location, about 2 miles off Highway 33 in Logan, was convenient to just about everything. We had a 20 minute drive to Old Man's Cave and a 10-12 minute drive to the zip line adventure. It's also close to Logan and Lancaster, which offer small town charm, antique shopping and modern conveniences.

I'd recommend the cabins to couples or for a friends' getaway.

Room Tip: Some rooms offer drive up parking. Others have remote parking with a short (100 foot) hike to the ca...
