We have a group of friends who have been taking a Fall trip weekend getaway for the past 25 years... & have stayed in many different places in W Va , Ky & Ohio. We just got back from Crockett's Run & has been the best place we've ever been ~ by far ! 'Sharry & Charlie' (the owners) are wonderful, friendly hosts and the Jim Bowie cabin & Crockett's Run Lodge were wonderfully clean & spotless and the views outstanding !

Didn't even have to leave the grounds to find wonderful exploring & hiking trails ~ waterfalls, cliffs etc. We will definitely be back to this gem ! No wonder we had our 'reservation' two years in advance ~ they really do book up that quickly !

This was a very pleasant stay. The cabin was spotless and comfortable. The setting was really beautiful. The Hocking Hills region is a surprise if you aren't familiar with it. There is a beautiful waterfall right on the (private) grounds.

We were looking for a venue to host an outdoor wedding in the midwest. We visited Crockett's Run and new instantly this was where we wanted to hold our wedding ceremony. Crockett's Run offers cabin and lodge rentals along with a reception hall. Even if you are not plannig a wedding, I would recommend this site for romantic get-away or family reunion. The property in beautiful with a lake and hiking trails. Cabins are clean, modern, with many ammenties. They hosted our wedding on 07/07/07. We were married on site, and they have several areas on their property to choose from for your ceremony. They even had a reception hall on site. This was very convienent for our guests, as they they only had to walk a short after the ceremony to the reception vs. driving to another destination. What also makes it a unique place for your wedding is your guests can stay on site in one of the several cabins/lodges. This was a great way to be able to spend time with family and friends for the extended weekend, instead of having a short window of opportunity to mingle with guests in traditional wedding settings. Many of the guest came in from out of town, so there was plenty of things to do on site and in the area (hiking, fishing, shopping) The staff is very friendly and accomodating. They are well versed in hosting weddings, which was a blessing so instead of my wife and I worrying about making sure everything was set up and in place, the staff ensured we were taken care of.
